Some questions:

1) What is the purpose of normal Covert Ops ships?

2) What is the purpose of Stealth Bombers?

3) Are either of these ship types effective?

4) How the heck does a Stealth Bomber fire a cruise missile?

1) Covert Op ships are scout ships, they locate and track targets for the rest of the fleet. Some can also engage in light combat and ew support, but they are mainly scouts.

2) No known purpose of a Stealth Bomber that I can see. You minds well get a Raven or Apoc and slap a cloaking device on them.

3) Covert Op ships are very nasty and can easily turn the tide of a fight if the team knows how to use them correctly. As for the Stealth Bomber? Other then a nifty toy I dont see much use for them in their current form.

4) Show Info on everything in EVE. If you read the ship descriptions you will notice Stealth Bombers get bonsus when attempting to mount Cruise Missile Launchers. This is what allows these ships to use Cruies Missiles.

2) As far as I can see it, they are meant to be used in packs of them to cloak in, gank a heavy ship, and cloak out. They are hugely inflated price-wise at the moment, but as with all tech 2 ships they will come down in price. When they do, poeple may start using them more.

3) Covert ops ships are VERY VERY effective. Just don't expect many kills with one because they are soft as *****. Stealth bombers are not too effective at the moment because they are so expensive; it is not worth losing it. When they come down in price, people may start using them as they will then be able to afford to lose them.

4) Magic Very Happy

Pack of Stealth bombers >

Warp In > Insta lock something stupid (barge / cruiser)

Fire Cruise > Cloak ... hopefully before locked yourself.

will the cruise still hit when you cloak and thus lose your targetlock?

And after the missile changes, you'll be able to do this from far enough away where they can't even lock you back. Of course, you can do that now with proper modules equiped, but the missiles are pretty dang slow.

Edit: Censored myself
