How about giving no security status hit to players who kill other players in <0.4 empire space who have a negative security rating as long as the attacker has a positve one?

Pirates can still camp at selected gates in empire space where there are no sentry guns or patrols. Last night we lost a utility cruiser on delivery to our home base due to a pirate blockade (and one slightly afk pilot - lol) in 3.0 space.

Now it would of been nice to go and clear the gate in that system, but to do so would give an unwanted security hit. I myself was lucky enough to get out of the red and into a positive security rating of only 1.0 before the patch changes. I have no wish to go negative again.

Seems ******ed you have to take a security hit to be rid of a local annoyance. And given the pain of raising security stats not worth it.

If those pirates had a sec rating of -5 or lower (which they will have if they keep attacking evryone), then they are killable on site ANYWHERE in Empire Space.

At least CONCORD won't come after you. Also, this IS Empire Space. Just because you got attacked doesn't mean you can kill (or attack)someone. That's CONCORD's job. (As badly as they do it.)

Don't forget, if they attack first, then you can retaliate with no sec hit.

tell you what why dont we make pirates unablew to equip guns as well to make it really balanced
