If the developers were to write a short log/letter in the forum about which problems they are currently working on.
Maybe they also could give us some hints about upcoming new features. Just an idea... This way we might get more information and worry less. Just my 2 öre
of thoughts =)

Hmm... I would guess that CCP has some sort of "project manager" position who does not actively fix bugs but coordinates, prioritizes, etc.. the activities of the dev team(s). People with these positions generally use tools like MS Project to keep track of things.

I've been wondering if the bug/priority list is really so sensitive that it can't be released to the public as is. I can understand not wanting to set expectations poorly, but keeping us in the dark about feature rollout isn't exactly the optimal solution either.

Maybe they have their reasons. CCP seems to be trying to communicate more with us, but the information stream is still a painfully slow trickle. There have to be some simple ways to automatically post information to us w/o tying up their resources. I wish I knew more of their internal software process so I could help. :)

LOL!
speaking from experience, it is always best to give as little information as possible about testing/fixing... testing by its very nature is hard to schedule - unexpected things come up and the solution is not always obvious. In my job the test managers NEVER want to give me dates for fixing Problem Reports.

I say stop hassling CCP, and let them fix things themselves - they will work better if there is less pressure from us..

They're not going to admit that the game is unfinished, because CCP thinks that is going to lose them customers.

What they should understand is, the only thing worse then intolerance is indifference. At least when someone hates you, you know they are paying attention.

Here's to a comprehensive public listing of bugs by date, category, and complainer, so we can see a bug before we experience it ourselves, and the veracity of the complainer can be ranked.

Some of what you're mentioning is found in the Dev Blog.

Activity there varies, but the devs are trying to keep you informed.
