I've been away from EVE for a week, I come back and I can no longer jetteson a cargo container, why?

I wait the alloted time, but the can never shows up. WTF is up with this??

Do I have to clear my cache or something to get this new "feature" to work properly?

So I'm the only one that has this problem?

I've been playing for awhile but just noticed it, and I think it is teh suck....

How can we do mining ops when I can FILL HALF AN INDY by the time it takes to jettison a can.

Thank M0o for the change. Make sure before you mine that you're in a place where you can reach many quality roids of different flavors. If you corp mining and the INDY driver pops your can, snuggle up to someone else (in your corp) and dump ore into their can.

Its only a minor inconvenience but keeps pirates from making "can walls" and lagging you while missiles are fired up your ass.

I understand how to play with this feature in place, the PROBLEM I'm having is a can never shows up. I can't put my ore in a can if there is none!

After the alloted time is up, simply re-issue your eject command.

It is best to perform this on a static object, ie an object that does not change.

One problem is that the jettison timer is bugged. Even when you reissue the jettison command, the timer might just roll over. I've spent twenty minutes before trying to eject one item, watching it count down from 5 minutes 19 seconds down to zero and then bop right back up to 5 minutes again.

This "solution" to the problem is just a hack, with far too much collateral damage. Group mining gets screwed, looting pirates gets screwed, not just moo and their container lag. It needs to be done away with and a better solution implemented.

I think this topic is now moot?

"I think this topic is now moot?"

How so?

This solution to the LAG problem is no solution at all. It creates more ****ed off players than the LAG did.

What was causing the LAG? Client graphics, bandwidth or server? Why create a dumbass workaround, why not fix the real damn problem???

I think they removed it because I was jetting them without any delay last night.

When they first implemented the jettison timer only one per area per 5 minutes. Now it's per player per 5 min. and seems to be working fine.

As far as where the cargo container is sounds like it may be a local issue. Personally I've never witnessed that problem.

Using containers issued by other players is not a very good idea, because it doesn't work propoerly. I have noticed quite a few distinct problems:

- Content of container doesn't refresh (even hitting the refresh button)
- Can't stack minerals, therefore creating tons of little heaps
- Sometimes you can't access at all the content of the can, however the indy has always been able to get it, one way otr the other, with discrepencies.
