Without someone having to be there? Personal Sentry guns? Hired NPCs? I know we have stations now, but other then how, how do you claim a area without people actually being there?

Theoretically all you have to hold onto is the chokepoints.

From what i've heard, thats true, BUT if people have to log, you will lose your support in that area. Which seems to be a waste of time to me. You could work for hours to hold a area and have to just give it away cause you have to go.

Multi time zone corps? So you put people in different time zones on guard duty?

Nope, basically we have a retainer ticket for round-the-world tickets 1-way and constantly shift our corp mates to different time zones to take advantage of this and make it look as though there's more of us than there really is Razz.

Alternatively I may have been pointing out the fact that the corps that end up taking and holding systems tend to have members in many time zones.

but what woud be the point? if you are gona spend all your time sitting camping a gate when are you going to actualy play the game? plus when some one gets through your net, you are going to have to chace em, so's leaving the gate again. if you found more corps that are interested in that sector you may be able to allie up, then maybe you would have a better chance of holding it. but then you share with them whatever it is you dont want people to have. in the end it takes allot of time and people to hold an area of space, and it wont work unless you have the people to sit there all day that dont want to do anything else. realy is your patch worth all that trouble....

dont mind me, i talk out my a** most the time so why should this be any differant Very Happy

i wish you all the luck, happy camping Shocked

That's why we have Alliances. So smaller corps can band together with like-minded people to help secure an area.

You're right, it can't be done if you're small, but if you have a lot of people, you can take turns guarding the system.
