There are too few office spaces in the stations! It should be possible to have your office whereever you want to have it and not shortened in that way. Tis makes no sense gamewise and is just annoying. Especially for players that decide to open Corps now or even later.

Because stations have an infinite amount of office space?

Leave your starting region and there's office space a'plenty... at least there is in my nick of the wood.

A 'Space Station' should have more than a handful of offices.

I agree with Amergin deGor, this game is excellent but does have flaws, one of which is the office space problem. This isn't like the Factories shortage where there should be competition. All the office gives you is a hangar to store and exchange goods with the other members of your corp.

I still don't understand why you can have a HQ at a station but without an office, you don't get hangar space.

Don't get me wrong, I love this game (and it's eating into my time like Elite did twenty years ago - is it really that long). Our corp has now got around this problem but initially it was a real pain.

New corps will always struggle especially as the game grows.

Solutions ?

More offices would certainly do it but what about a higher monthly cost? Currently it costs 1 isk per month, so corps open offices wherever they can but a higher rent (say 10,000 per month) would slow things down and mean that larger corps would have more offices and smaller ones would be limited... just like in real life :)

I agree with the current system simply because it encourages people to spread out and not just have their office in the most popular systems.

And in the future, as more people buy and play the game there will be other popular spots that you have a chance to grab now. And many are just a few jumps from starting areas.

I was actually thinking of something along the lines that if your corp has a slot at a station, uses that slot regularly to keep it yours, then they should be able to buy a corp hangar there as well, one that is a weekly fee at a higher cost.

Beh, i dunno. I've always hated finding a slot somewhere and not being able to make it corp.

Considering that you can't cancle offices they are all going to be gone soon.

I am trieing to merge with another corp. I have found no way shut down the corp or to cancle the office space.

It said that when the CEO resignes that you can pick a replacement or if ther are no members it will declare bankrupciey

Problem, we have members that have quit EVE. They are still in the corp so there is no way to shut down the corp. As a result i will pick one of those people as my CEO replacement. and then the corp offices will hange aroud forever.

So given time there will be no more office space in EVE.
