If I am in non empire space right out in the wilds like 25 jumps from the nearest system with a station, how safe is it to park up by a random moon for the night?

To what degree will you get warped about after you log off?....and would people really advise getting back to a station to log in this kind of situation?.....

It's safe as long as no one is there while you are logging off.

As per the patch notes, your ship will hang-around 2 minutes after you logoff. Then it disappears.

When you log back on, you should be in the SAME place.

(Before patch, it was 1 minute of vulnerability)

I've done it many times when the nearest station is several jumps away.. warp to some misc. moon and logoff.

If you want to do this, double check the local channel for possible threats. That's a good thing to do.
