1.) I need to purchase two copies of the boxed game to do so, correct?

2.) What sort of minimum hardware requirement is needed two run two clients simultaneously on one computer?

My current specs are as follows:

AMD Athlon XP 2000+
256 MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti4600

Would this be sufficient?

To run 2 accounts, yes, strangely enough you would need to buy 2 accounts (Boxed games). ;)

You are planning to play them both on one PC? If you can load multiple copies of the game at once (I don't know, I've not tried it) then I should think your bottleneck would be RAM. 512Mb might be sufficient. Good luck!

Check the Terms and Services.
It might be against the rules to run wo accounts at the same time? (due to being able to use one char to say, rob people then transfer the goods to your other char for no sec hit on your main one, then make a new secondary one, rinse repeat)

You can do that with an alternate char on 1 account anyway Tatter, so that wouldn't rule against 2 accounts.

I do this all the time.
I have a T-bird 1,3Ghz with 768 mb ram, Radeon 9700 pro.
I run win xp.

It lags (fps lag) a bit, but sometimes it lags alot in one session and dont lag in the other session... it has something to do with win xp not giving eatch session a equil chare of the mashine ressourses. FIX: close the laggy session and start it up again.

So what i'm saying is, i think u can do 2 accounts on one machine, but maby u want a bit more ram... but who wouldn't.

Two or more accounts will run very well on a machine with at least a 1.5gig cpu, an FX class Nvidia or Radeon 9700 or better, at least 512meg ram. A fair amount of virtual memory helps, maybe a gig or more.

I have had up to three running on my machine with an Athlon 2400 XP, 512meg DDR, Nvidia FX5200 128mb DDR, cable modem. I think if I ran a fourth the lag would become a problem because my cable connection couldn't handle the traffic and it would probably make too much work for my vid card and memory. Me and a friend are going to try it to see what happens.

I think the most crucial issues would be a vid card that can handle the load and ram.

aye running 2 cleints does lag up the fps and ya often get a error message saying unable to do command thing like docking due to other cleint running popup thing but due to the fps lag why run 2 at once ;0 :)
