Heh don't give up, they will fix the rent and the back pay as well. Sorry about your cruiser but you should check the test server before new patches to see what changes are made. I did and had a heck of a fight with normally easy cruiser. The point is it can be gotten back. I always take insurance on my ships I hope you did too. Maybe you should merge with a bigger corp. They would definately help you recover faster.

I heard about the weapon damage reduction as soon as I logged on so what did I do? I became more cautious. I've figured out I can do the same damage if I get a tad closer. Fortunately its still not close enough to be hit by the pirates.

Yes, its a *****, but all I can suggest for the future is that you a) make sure you know what patch changes have occurred before continuing your travels and b) buy insurance. I havdn't done the latter till yesterday, when after receiving news that a corp mate and been taken out by M0O (his 3rd ships he'd lost in a week, I think), I decided I'd better cover my ass.

Yes, Jebac is right. I was more cautious as well. Loads of these problems are being caused by silly people in their ships ignoring the patch notes, and charging into combat against fast and deadly pirate frigates (which their new cruiser guns can not track, let alone hit).

The last time they had a rollback, the night before the patch; I logged somewhere safe, knowing that whatever changes there were, I would be better off where there were no chances for mistakes. I was right. A corp mate lost his ship cause he ignored the patch notes. Went to do his old routine and got owned by the pirates.

Next time you will know better. Nothing is unrecoverable. These changes make the game more exciting in my opinion.

Unlucky m8, C'est la vie... At least you didn't lose one to an unprovoked Police attack on a mining Vexor.

"ouch" - yes very havn't a clue why it happened cos a Vexor doesn't have missiles ( so no splash damage ) and wasn't targeting anything other than a roid. We also lost a Exeq to police when the silly pilot targetted and blew up my training drone which I was messing with. OK that had an element of validity to it ( he did 'attack' me ) but sending a full warp scrambler squadron in was rather OTT ( and I'm the victim - so you'd think I'd be happy :) ).
