Well alot of you will probably be glad to hear i just lost my only cruiser and was podded, but was it down to my own stupidity? was it down to bad tacktics? was it down to my crappy BlackBird stup as ViperX put it? NO it was because EVE Froze then CTD'd, so i didnt even get a chance to defend myself.. my ship sat there silently getting destroyed by 6 cruisers and i could do nothing ... and to make things even worse, i get this message.. of the guy who killed me READ

2003.07.04 06:02:00
Sorry about that Hanns. I had two corp members CTD or freeze aswell. So atleast three people including you had trouble. I would've pulled off if I knew. Sorry.

HEH well im sick off working my ass off for ships and having EVE bugs snuff them out instantly, ive filed a bug report also demanding a new ship, if i do not get a reply, ill cancel my subscription,as im tired of paying for and playing an UNFINISHED GAME! this is the final straw!

Laugh away all of you, but how would you feel, if it happend to you, and you all know how tought it is to get crusiers back, even tho im a pirate, i still deserve a chance to Stay and Fight or Try and Escape...... i had neither..

They won't replace it...

I've lost two Stabbers to an obvious bug, and both times I have had my request for a replacement rejected, because their little database couldn't "prove" that it was a bug..

One answer I recieved boasted about how by refusing to replace my ship, they were busy keeping the game "pure" of unwarranted GM interference.. while not 8 hours later, the GMs magically teleported the entirety of m0o Corp to an unsuspecting sector.. which is, as I'm sure everyone will agree, an extremely "pure" GM-to-player interaction..

All any of us can do is scream like a mofo.. and keep screaming until we are all so loud their eardrums explode.

Fix it, folx... our patience is waning quickly... beta tester or not, we are all losing interest.

And then some... both my cruisers were blown out from under me while I sat helplessly with "warp drive active" on the screen.. (took 4 minutes for one to blow.. the second went in 3) "peeved" would be an understatement... in fact, the only words that would adequately describe the experience are not for polite company.. hahaha

Guys,

read these postings with interest.... However, Ny... you say that you lost ships to, and I quote, "an obvious bug". Then you go on to say that you were sat at "warp drive active" watching your ships get blown away and that it took minutes.... So everytime you warp it takes up to 4 minutes to transfer you does it?? Because if it was a bug then that is what would happen, and everyone else would have the same problem... I hate to say it Ny but you sound like you hit a bit of lag there and it was down to network.

Just my thoughts...

Hanns, you've stated in this thread directly, that you are a pirate. It is a known fact that pirates have lagged the gates with cargo canisters. I would like you to make the direct connection between these two occurances.

1. You posts topic on how you lost a cruiser. (just so I don't have to retype it)

2. A young caldari pilot just fresh out of fleet academy and with his entire savings purchases a brand spankin' new Merlin (don't argue the difference in ship class this is an example). He's over zealous of his new ship and wants to head back home to Dantumi, not up-to-date on pirate activities cause he's been swept up in his studies, doesn't realize Mara and Passari aren't safe. He warps to a jump gate, his systems freeze on trying to register a mass of anomallies, the results start to come in slowly. . .Cargo Canisters show up on the display, then the resounding beep of danger as his ship has been targeted. . .even before the computer fully displays he has been locked his ship is being bombarded by massive amounts of rounds and charges maybe even a missle or two. Next thing he knows he's in a hospital room steping out of a pod stark nekid and devoid of a Merlin.
The pilot here has been victim to an expoit in game. By causing undue lag to the victim, pirates are able to over take his ship in a matter of seconds because his screen is still loading. . .yet he isn't allowed to get his ship back and now pirates are telling him it's part of the game.

What I'm getting at, is basically the same scenerio happens to you. You can't run of fight, just like the newbie pilot. Yet now that you are the victim you claim that the game is at fault and you demand reimbursment for "the games" fault.

If you get reimbursed for this, I think all pilots who lost a ship because of the cargo canister lag exploit should be able to get their ships back. . . it would only be fair since technically neither of you had a chance to run or defend.

Disclaimer: I am not stating that the creator of this thread does or partakes in the previous stated actions, nor do intend to provoke anything. I'm am just merely stating the facts as I see them (which would make it my opinion)

Osiris, perhaps you've been "stuck on a station" or "stuck on an asteroid" and waited what felt like days to warp? I'd had that bug and I know many others have too. That same bug can happen on cargo cans and happens when you're getting shot at. If you get hit with a missile and it misaligns your ship from warp your ship will just sit there slowly turning while you can do nothing about it. That is the bug Ny is talking about. That's why people always ask for a "cancel warp" option. I lost cruisers to NPC pirates in beta because of that bug. You used to be able to cancel warp in beta but it broke target locks and people were exploiting so they took out the cancel feature. Would have been nice if they fixed the unlock problem instead.

Emizzon, you can ask The guy that was there there was not a single cargo container, we dont use thatmethod... and how could we a fter the patch????

i lost my ship to another EVE bug, and you talk about the over zealous Merlin pilot, well that was me not so long ago, i also got killed in Mara, in my merlin, which i thought was "ace" , Weve all been there at some point or another, and we all learn a lesson from it..

But no we did not use the cargo conainer lag, its was more like a Hang..

Hanns, you are pathetic... you actually think anyone will care? people already know what your corp and others have done to other players.
