What ave CCP done now, Everything has gone to Nerf central this time.. ok, i say to myself lets go kill some pirates, so i warp into a belt in a 0.0 system and there are 4 NPC pirates 3 5k ans 1 10k, ok lets see what everyone is going on about the gun nerfing, well what can i say, i got my ****ing ass handed to me.. and these are gay little NPC's that before the patch i would destroy with flatulance, i couldnt warp out coz the little ****s warp scrambled me, so i killed one and managed to creep away with AB's and finally warp back to station with like 25% armor, then i thought WHAT THE ****.. i couldnt take them out in a Cruiser with 3 650mm arty, WTF IS A NEW PLAYER WITH A MERLING GOING TO DO, CCP YOU NUMNUTS< yeah lets encouradge TEAMWORK HMMMMMMM not everyone is in a PC corp that can work together, and even people who are, cant always go hunting together...

What i want to know is who is in charge of the nerf bat? who is the guy/girl who says "Ohh yea what a wonderful idea, lets give you 0.00000000000000000000000001 for killing a ****ing battleship" and who says "ohh yeas lets **** up the guns coz people are killing carebears way to fast" and who says " yes lets make NPC's as harder than PC ships and then give them infinate PowerCore and Ammo" and who says "Lets make ****CORD Warp Scramble Webify and ECM jamm you when you sneez on a team mate" and who says "yes let the Gate Sentry guns Spank you every time you warp" basicly whover this person is SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT IN THE FREEZING ****ING ICELANDIC WOODS AND SHOT, IN THE HEAD AT LEAST 10000 times ROUGHLY THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIMES YOUD HAVE TO KILL AN NPC TO RAISE YOUR SEC STATUS!

Im really ****ed off at this patch, every patch you cater for the carebears and make it harder and harder for PC pirates, eventually EVE will become so GAY everyone will paint the Stations Hot pink, and lovely Sky blue colours, and all the real players will leave and all th carebears will life in peace and tranquility in all the 1.0 systems, and the rest of the eve systems 0.4 and lower will be empty and unoccupied! wooh sounds like fun, roll on the next MMORPG..

and please carebears NO flaming, im entitled to my own opinion!

Hanns out!

P.S please excuses my atrocious spelling i was typing it out as fast as it left my demanted brain!

Hunting NPC pirates is more of a challenge now; in particular you have to put some thought into your load out, paying particular attention to the ammo range effects and the tracking speed of your longer range weaponry.

"... i couldnt take them out in a Cruiser with 3 650mm arty ..."

That is because 650mm Artillery is the wrong sort of weaponry to take out a frigate with.

"... THE FREEZING ... ICELANDIC WOODS ..."

Good luck finding some. As far as I am aware there are almost no trees in Iceland.

"... eventually EVE will become so GAY everyone will paint the Stations Hot pink ..."

You are intending the word gay as some kind of insult here I assume.

"... please carebears NO flaming ..."

Perhaps you should have chosen to use the same constraint in the phrasing of your own post that you request of other people.

Have you even bothered to read the changes ? Part of the change was so big guns would not track frigates as well as it used to. I'm not surprised you got your ass handed back to you with that loadout. You need faster tracking guns to take out frigates. A newbie in a merlin would not have this problem because he is using small guns that track fast ships alot better.

wrong loadout for taking out frigates? 650mm shell at 4k range = boom, whats so wrong about that yes they dont have the tracking speed, but even when you get the hit, its not so good, i got like 60 hit, used to get like 160 to 200, lol have you tried the 250mm rails, they miss more than they hit and thats attacking cruisers, only weps that seem any good now are lasers.

and i meant GAY and in the old fasion'd term HAPPY :P

So let's see your mad because:

- NPC's were made harder, this after people talking about how easy they were. Adapt, improvize and overcome, but quit whining.

- Your mad CONCORD ships will actually use tactics a player would ? I find that rather amusing. Heaven forbid they actually fight back rather than just self destructing for you to loot them.

- Your mad you cannot exploit the security system to maintain a positive security rating while preying on players. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww....

- And oh no, bad security status actually means something now. Hanging out in territories where you have been preying on their inhabitants has consequences.

If you'd read the notes, you'd realize that the guns in low sec systems won't neccessarly open up on you even if your sec status is low. Only if you have attacked someone and lost faction with the owner of the gun/system.

If you can't adapt and deal with the consequences of your actions, then perhaps pirating is too difficult for you. Go mine scordite and quit your whining.

you contradic yourself first by saying they make it to hard then saying the make it to easy. Im all for pirate corps, it adds something to the game but it never made sence to pirate at a jump gate with big sentry guns pointing at you, so what if its 0.01 space that means there is at least that little measure of security, and once again the big guns that you dont want to be a pirate around.

Yes its true that most players are in the sectors where they are safe, so what do you blame them? they spend a month working their ass's off to get a cruiser only to have you or another pirate/griefer come along and distroy it with out saying a word. Is this fun for you sure for all of 5 seconds is it fun for the other player hell no.

The real problem is the same as everyone else is having, there just isnt any real content to the game as of yet, most players dont have a reason to leave high sec space so why would the want to. If you had something interesting to do im sure you wouldnt spend all day poding anyone that happens by.

The way I see it pirates should be forced to live outside of empire space only raiding every now and then for resources / items.. only to be forced back by a decent police/milarty force. With missions to hijack certain cargos / kidnap people and hold them for randsome. Sure this may sound boaring without other none pirate players, but this is where player owned stations come in to play you would be able to raid these people and depending on who they have payed or not payed for protection is the people you would have to defend against.

These are just a few of many ideas of how eve could easily develop for the pirates without ruining the game for other players that arnt in the game to get podded for no reason. Remember PvP is just an eliment of the game not the be all and end all of it.

Dref i get your point, but ATM ever patc hjust seems to be against, PC pirates... eventually its going to become so hard and tedious no one is going to bother, and like i said before, comence with the tins of Hot Pink paint...

yeas and i did contradic myself, but CCP just cant really get much right, to be honest, heres what happens in CCP office "hmm NPC are to easy.. lets make them.. com on guys pick a random number... ok yah 5 times harder" and " hmm the guns are a little to over powered, ok jim its your turn to reach in to the top hat and pick out a random peice of crumpled paper.. yeah ok 100 less powerfull it is!" they go to far basicly...

Belive me I fully agree that they lack even the most basic quality assuance, customer support or content. I would hate so see what this game would be like if there wernt any pirate corps. When players have to make up the only real game content there is something badly wrong.

This is why I hate forums. I think companies should disable their forums for 2 days after patches just to let everyone who seems they know better to cool down, and look at the big picture.

weird how u dont hit very well with the 650mm i seem to do ok ive even seen it hit for 250hp a few times. but i wasnt hitting enuff with projectile so i switched back to my trusty 250mm gauss guns and let me tell u im having a blast now that i found a different type of ammo other than antimatter. all u need is a good tracking cpu and a good damage mod and ur in business ive been killing npcs all day and never lost more than half my sheild. ah the good life rocks lol

Plastic toys, techno is right, and guess what, there thos really cheap Hot Pink plastic toys you get on the market for about 1.20p and have a whizzy noise inside and a metal wheel that makes sparks and u can see the sparks thru the pretty pink see thru window and you run around pulling the trigget making dadadada noises, ohh yeah and they break after about 2 minutes and you get bored of them very quickly, much like EVE

Well the patch was obviously aimed mainly at making the game a lot harder for people like M3g4 and Mo0, and a little more tolerable for others. Balance I suppose.

It's only the griefers who are griping. I was out killing 10k - 30k pirates in stain earlier and got some great new loot.

I think they might have been caught off guard, thinking that "that big phat gun" is all the need to kill anyone......

Dont blame m0o.. blame the cowards that populate the game, I have seen on several times m0o come into a system and everone running and hiding in the stations, when they vastly out number the pirates in and with just as good equipment. But will they get together and fight? no they would rather just hide in the station till morning when they nasty pirates leave, one half brown nosing on the chat chan the other half just talking smack but not backing it up. Now dont get me wrong I dont expect anyone to go suicide and loose their ships but if they actually got together not only could they kill/drive the pirates out they could have fun doing it.

Gee That's funny I am using 250mm protos and can still solo 4 NPC Cruisers. I had to change my ammo and tactice a bit but took me a whole 20 min to figure it out.

Go spend 1/2 hour on the test server where it does not matter if you lose your ship and learn some tactics instead of sitting here ranting.

The more inclined toward combat a player is, the more they will dislike this patch.

If for no other reason than the simple fact that they are no longer as good at it.

What I encourage all of you combatants to do during this time is to set some long training skills and play CS or something for a week or two.

Give the causal gamer a chance to realise how helpless they are to ever manage to kill anything, and they will whine to the devs.

These are the only people the devs listen to anyway, so there is little point in any of us combat pilots trying to be heard on the issue.

The devs and the rest of the eve population simply don't care what we think, except perhaps that it provides oppourtunities for them to mock us for 'losing' on this patch.

Yup, they do.

They listen to the loudest voices.

Which in this case sounds something like this:

"Waaaaaaaaaaaa m0o blew up my ship!"

So now m0o can't blow up their ship.

See?
