I've been wondering if I should jump into a Tengu or a Golem. Right now I'm sitting in a CNR an it's been doing rather nice for L4 missions for soloing, it does nice for pretty much all L4s' and I'm happy with it right now. As of now I maxed out almost all my shield skills, and working on missiles, however, I don't know if I should max out torps or heavys first though. (Though I know it is good to have both in the end)

I was thinking that PLEXs in the end would be the best way of income, I'm not positive however. I'm also thinking a Tengu would be the way to go for making pure ISK, but I pretty much just wanted to make sure. I could be wrong, and Golems could be better in the end, who knows.

I know that Golem skills will take longer to do, but I'm fine with this if in the end, it is the better option.

This isn't about higher damage/etc, as obviously the Golem at short range deals out a huge amount of damage, it more based on the best way to make money with the best ship.

I don't think you really want to lose a golem considering the cost of the ship as well as fitting it correctly to maximize your isk/hr. Also some plexes require a lot of range which wouldn't be all that great with a golem as well. Also you need to scan down plexes and be able to go through camped out gates.

Tengu is definitely the way to go if you would be doing this solo. You can get good missile skills in under 30 days and it translates well into other caldari ships such as the nighthawk, Cerberus and drake. you can fit a tengu with a MASSIVE tank ( i fitted my tengu with 1000 dps tank for relatively cheap, about 350 mil: C-type large booster and some boost amps) so you wont have to worry about being scrammed in a plex and blowing up (though there are some plexes with a neutralizer in it).

If you have an alt that is scanning stuff down i guess you can use a golem. Personally i'd never do it, i'd just get a tengu or a night hawk.
