I feel like throwing some isk at a proteus for high sec incursions.

How does this rate IYO

hybrid purpulsion am (Or whatever is the one that 3 bonuses to blasters)
augmented plating
localized injectors
power core multiplier
dissolution sequencer

6 heavy neutrons with void or antimatter\

y-t mwd
TC with tracking
medium electrochemical cap booster

1600 Tung plate
Explosive armor hardener II
Magstab II

3 medium trimarks I's

Edit: Maybe I need a 5% pg implant for this? Do you think the blasters will have enough tracking?

I love the proteus, but you're going to struggle to be competative with this one.

The concept of moving to the primary is going to slow down the groups site running speed, as you will get primaried sooner or later, and end up keeping the rats 30+km off the fleet, and reduce their combined dps.

In addition, a plated proteus is going to be fat & slow even with the mwd, made worse by the 3 x trimark rigs, so you'll take a minor ice age to move between targets.

When you get into range, with a single Mag Stab you'll do meh damage compared to a battleship.

Now I've competely burst your bubble, the only way I see a proteus possibly working well, would be a shield tank.

Highs: Neutrons with Null.

Mids: LSE and a couple of Invulns/AB/MWD

Lows: 3 Mag Stabs, 3 TE

Rigs: Probably shield resist rigs.

I've had a great deal of success with a shield astarte and shield absolution in incursions.

I think the proteus will struggle to be competative, either way a shield tank will put out more effective dps.

Good Luck,
