The quality of my character in game is noticeably lower than when I'm in character creation/customization mode.

For example, in game I have no hair physics, and textures seem 'flatter', the lighting seems worse too e.g. I get shadows over my character's face which make it look alien. In creator mode everything looks amazing.

So, I wondered if this is just me, or is there something wrong? I'm running XP still so directX is 9.x, I don't know if maybe it requires 10.x to do this stuff in game? Otherwise, is it maybe a memory issue? I have 2GB of RAM which seems to be border-line enough, as when I enter customisation mode with an existing character the textures often get corrupted (weird colours or black) and I have to restart the client.

I will probably end up getting more RAM but in the meantime I'd like to know if there's anything I can do, or if everyone sees their character in-game as lower quality than in creator mode.

Many thanks,
Alix Samedi
