Hello

I think it would be great to create Some battle arena in eve! Let me explain:

We CAN imagine differents categories:
- 1vs1
- 2vs2
- team vs team
- corp vs corp
- less than 10m sp
- 10 to 30m sp...
- Free fight

The combat end when the ship(s) is/are destroyed

We CAN imagine That pilot just put himself in the queue list for the match.
The pilot has to be in station ( no matter where in the universe )

When the pilot go in the arena he has 3 min to choose the ship and fit.
Ship and fit are from a specific list adapted for the match...

Then the match begins.

It will have a classement, we can imagine Some tournaments...

Also each categorie have an entry price ( That cover ship and fit )

It's just the basic idea, but i think it Will allow player to pvp in
A More cool way and also an easier way... Also it CAN create dynamic.

We CAN imagine That fit and ship are taken from the player production ( and not generate for the tournament ) or we CAN imagine new items ( with same stat but usuable only in arena )

Also each match CAN be view in the CQ like a sport chan...

Why not

Some Time it's Nice to just have Some fun, and not taking 30min waiting m8, 20min before everyone getting ready, and then go for xx jumps, finnaly find a biger gang and then run out, do xx More jump...

It's a game and i think we should be able to choose our way of Playing...

Well, there is this thing called Singularity where you can do pretty much just that if you feel like it, without being disturbed.

Well you don't give me reason why you don't want...

I mean it's easy to say no without explanation...

Why it could be bad is it better to stay in station without doing Nothing?

The hardcore pvper Will continue to pvp, the pirates too...

And in the arena you CAN pvp just for fun... I mean i don't think it Will be bad for the pvp in general maybe i'm wrong, in this case give me better explanation than
No or go sisi... Anyway thanks for reading

Here's a reason... it takes away one of the major incentives of why people should/could out into low-sec/null-sec. Why go out and look for PVP in an "uncontrolled" environment when a "structured" and "instanced" place to have "fair" matches exists? You'd take away one of the big (see: "only") selling points for low-sec.

More than that... "instanced" matches do not teach a person/group/corp/alliance how to deal with situations that are "unfavorable" to them (see: "real" PVP).

Now... you COULD argue that the "Arena" would be available ONLY to newbies and/or nothing would be won or lost from them... but then you run into the respective problems of "well, why doesn't all PVP work this way?" and "why go out and risk my expensive ship/equipment in REAL PVP when I can just pew-pew a bit in an arena?"

Not to be a "doomsdayer"... but I'm quite certain that in an "instanced" environment, SP and wealth would factor more into who wins and loses than does now (ex. a 'Vet' can stomp a 'Newbie' in a 1v1 due to greater SP, but a 'newbie' can bring 'Newbie' friends to overcome the SP difference... likewise, a wealthy person can buy expensive equipment to gain an edge against a poor person in 1v1, but a poor person can get some poor friends and tear apart the rich person).
