So If we take the patch notes... and remove crap about Forums, bug fixes, and CQ updates (Because no-one uses it anyway). The Patch notes are as follows
Patch Notes
User Interface The “Show Info” window for drones in your ship's drone bay now displays the correct attributes according to your skills. -Wait sorry thats a bug fix
Technical Switching ships while docked in a station no longer causes a session change. - From what I hear this has 'created' bugs?
Atleast it is a new EVE feature that we can all look forward to? |

Known IssuesNew Features
Switching ships may offline modules if the ship is over CPU budget with an unskilled pilot. The lazy dock workers are being beaten for their failures.
Warping to missions using the right click in space menu is not working. Workaround is to relog in space using the ship you wish to do the mission with.
Cargo window is opening after using a jump gate.
Cargo icon next to the ship's wheel will open but not close the cargo hold. Workaround is to close the cargo hold using the cargo hold's window.
Ammo and charges are disappearing from offlined modules.
Right clicking on the fitting window will not produce a context menu.
Cargo holds are not receiving bonuses from the cargohold expanders.
I see what I did there |

Christ, I'd understand if they did something serious to the UI or server, but how could a patch so ****ing insubstantial create so many new bugs? |

Jesus ****, this. If you must demand features, it includes customizable APIs which are pretty cool, and the contracts API, which is ****ing awesome. |

Nothing at all, and the one feature they tried to implement they made full of bugs. |

If you want features, wait for the Summer Expansion
We will have Santa's robe in NeX Store and a pretty xmas tree made with recycled material in our nice Minnie CQ. |

Is this a troll thread? Because there are no new features in this patch. CCP only cares about Spacebook and dress up barbie dolls. |

I was under the impression that patches were all about bug fixes.
If you want new features you might want to wait for the winter expansion.

Edited by: Alexandra Alt on 05/09/2011 00:45:37 For clarification:
"A patch is a piece of software designed to fix problems[1] with, or update a computer program or its supporting data. This includes fixing security vulnerabilities[1] and other bugs, and improving the usability or performance. Though meant to fix problems, poorly designed patches can sometimes introduce new problems."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patch_(computing)
It's a patch on a live game in production with paying subscribers, introducing bugs that even some beta games would never introduce, you know, some software houses do make regression tests whenever new features are introduced and/or old code is changed yet.

Edited by: Name Family Name on 05/09/2011 00:48:19 Patch = Bugfixes, maybe some minor improvements.
Expansion = new content.
Of course this is CCP, where they add 10 new bugs when trying to do a minor improvement and decided to abandon the definition of an 'expansion' (i.e. adding content).
edit: AnzacPaul - yeah - but trinity times were CCP working on eve, not "marketing dudes trying to please bankers and cashing in for WoD + some "Spaecmarnie shoota".

Trinity Patch 1.1
Thanks for proving my point. Lots of fixes there. Don't see any new features or gameplay. In fact I wonder how many people were raging over Trinity since it obviously released so many bugs that required so many fixes. |

The feature of this patch is to make you whine like a ***** on a forum, and for me to laugh at you for doing so.
