I would like to have two changes for the targeting UI:

1. The icons for locked targets should stay where they, even if another target gets unlocked. I hate it when those locked target icons jump around because some enemies just popped or wrecks got salvaged. It's a little bit like playing memory and from time to time some fool comes to you and shifts all cards around. (Optional: The icons could be draggable just like modules)

2. The icons should already appear when I start to lock and not when the lock has finished. The icons should be half transparent before fully locked and a locking countdown should be visible.


Easy to implement and its much more user friendly. Thank you.

I would recommend using the Ctrl key (by default) to lock targets, it's much faster anyway.

I use Ctrl to lock the targets. I'm talking about the windows appearing when the target *is* locked. They are sorted like a stack and when some target is unlocked they all shift to the right. That is annoying.
