So CCP....

Another day goes by, are you going to stick to your commitment to communicating with the players and answer the questions?

CCP "derp"

3 months of painstaking development time goes by and ccp releases a 2 mb patch with little content and lots of updates on their social media platform project that the playerbase isn't remotely interested in or cares about.

No no, you got that wrong. 18 months is now 60 months. Remember the 5 year plan for null. But, that only applies to spaceships. There is no telling when we'll get the multiplayer station environment. But, rest assured that two other games hinge on the WiS technology being developed so it should be as soon as CCP can get a beta version ready for the testers...er...I mean Eve players.

Act like children?! Read through these forums lately and tell me who's been acting like children. Sheesh. I think the WoW community is more mature, seriously. "Boo hoo I have to click an extra time. Boo Hoo my ship does not go spinny spinny anymore. I quit I quit!" And this is the mature EVE community?

OP, maybe if you bothered to bloody read the wealth of interviews and information about this very given subject you would indeed, like many, know this bit of information.

Our current plan is to release the establishment feature later this year. We should have more information regarding the feature in the coming months, as I stated in my last blog :)

WHEN will we get a multiplayer station environment?

Like the promo videos for the future of Eve? Probably never.

People need to realise that CCP are all about hype and marketing rather than content and substance.
Lower your expectations and prepare to be dissapointed.

Oh sorry, I must have missed them... Prehaps you could tell me if an 'Establishment' is going to be a multiplayer WIS environment? (if you have time, maybe you could add a link to the source too, I would be very interested in reading it)
Cheers!

Incarna 1.1 will see the results of our progress on improving the existing CQ

Originally by: 1.1 Patch notes
Captain’s Quarters

-Some visual improvements have been made to the main screens and menu systems within the Captain's Quarters.
-Fixed a rare case where action objects would not be interactable.
-Fixed several potential crash issues with EVE Voice.
-Fixed an issue with fleet voice chat that could prevent people from using voice chat at all.

The first one was actually the introduction of a few new adverts to the main screens as far as I can tell, not really an improvement.
Second is a bug that should never have existed in the first place, not really an improvement, just cleaning up after yourselves.
The third is EVE voice related.
The fourth is again EVE voice related.

So what exactly have you "improved" with this patch? Am I missing something obvious?

The patch notes should read like:

Originally by: Mock 1.1 Patch notes
Captain's Quarters

-Added a Dock and disembark function to the right click menu in space, clicking the dock option will now send you to the hangar as before.
-Added a disembark button to the current hangar view to transition from hangar to captain's quarters.
-Added customization options to main screens, right clicking on the screens now brings up a menu similar to that of the overview settings window so you can uncheck the things you do not want to see, or turn off the screens completely.
-Added more animation to the characters, it is now possible to lie down on the bed, leapfrog over the back of the sofa and idle animations are now more varied.
-Explained to the level designers how visibility works, the mirror will now not be black before you pass through the poorly hidden visibility portal in the doorway.
-the doorway is no longer a poorly positioned prefab, and so the white artifacts surrounding it no longer appear.
-lighting improvements and shadow improvements bring us up to par with modern games.
-added a restroom, food preperation area and other obvious things one would expect to see in the Captain's quarters
-Removed some of the excessive Quafe cans/tins/bottles, after all not everyone likes Quafe and it isn't the only piece of immersion we have to work with and replaced them with other objects you would expect to find in an ultimate Sci-Fi Sim

Hmm I could go on for a surprisingly long time, but I won't.

I'm a little boggled by the OP.

The questions you're asking were answered a long time ago.

Also, the clothing they have been releasing; it was designed and completed before the expansion even went live. If you would have tested the CQ environment via Duality or SiSi, you would have known this.

But, it's the general consensus around here - a lot of blabbering and derping, very little coherent, rational thought.

Personally I think the idea of having a limited area of your ship that you can explore/use is more interesting than the CQ/Establishment idea. Add to that the ability to dock with other ships out in space and walk through doors into different looking spaceship environments would be frankly pretty pimp in my opinion.

I vote no on boarding parties lol

Thats how the Goons (in the disguise of a group called Starfleet Dental) turned STO from a largely PVE game with a bit of PVP into a open PVP game for a short period of time. It was funny to watch the GMs too. There were already so few people n the game that they were afraid to do anything about them breaking their game for fear theyd leave lol

I realize what you are saying... "establishments" does not necessarily mean a multiplayer Avatar based environment.

All that I can say is that previous descriptions when mentioned in a variety of blogs (etc.) have referred to them directly in connection with conversations about multiplayer environments.

As we know however, with anything related to video games plans can change. We will just have to wait for a specific blog related to this. Considering the slowdowns for many associated with the single player environments I would not doubt that they will have to be very careful how they impliment the multiplayer environments and be fairly picky about what you can and cannot do until they get things working more smoothly. Thus, the blog won't come out until they have some certainty about what will be available upon initial release of those environments.

I myself am a little boggled by your post. Maybe if my questions have been answered a long time ago, you would be so kind as to make a link to the answers from CCP.
(I keep seeing people post that my questions have been answered, but nobody seems to back up their statements with any proof)

Here are my questions again...
WHEN will we get a multiplayer station environment?

Will these 'establishments' mean I can walk through the station and enter another player's shop and interact with him....?

My thanks in advance for actualy posting some proof.

Then there is the question of what the establishments are. One idea I saw in an interview with CCP was they would be replacements for station services presently being offered by NPCs. Like ship repair or labs. But I can access those right now without even loading CQ, much less by walking to an establishment. I sure do not want to have to have the process slowed down. This replacing NPC services with player establishments is a nice addition to the sandbox, it does not foster player face to face interactions.

Another idea is bars where you can gamble with other players. That sounds like a good one.

Another is a place where you can buy booster ingredients or booster limited run reactions, all contraband. I once posted an idea for this: The establishment owner bribes the station management (could be with Aurum) to look the other way and an NPC shows up in his bar. Anyone can use that NPC to buy contraband stuff for ISK. Some portion of the sale (an amount set by the establishment owner, resulting in competition between owners) is kicked back to the owner. The buyer then has to get the ingredients or reactions to a POS for booster production, getting past bloodthirsty players taking the place of customs.

He represents me and my entire corporation. One of the oldest, most famous, PvP aligned corps in this game. Only a few people log in anymore. Most subs have been let go except for super caps, which are paid for with GTCs. We are not a solitary story. Corps all over Eve, the older corps which are relevant, have been bleeding members for six months now.
