1) It's repetitive. Some T1 BS hulls (Geddon/Scorpion) are reused three times (Navy/Fleet, Black Ops, Pirate) and Domi is reused 2 times (Navy, Black Ops). T2 BS hulls are reused 2 times (Navy, Marauder) with the exception of the Megathron which is reused three times (Navy, Pirate, Marauder). T3 hulls are not reused even once.

While I can perfectly understand the reusing of hulls for faction ships (it makes sense) - you could at least balance things out. After all, every cruiser hull is reused exactly once for another category.

2) Apoc/Raven/Domi hull just look like crap.

I can live with some ships being less pretty than others, but forcing the same ugly ships on us over and over again - meh.

3) Consider the roles of T3 ships based on their bonuses.

All T3 ships are biased towards gank+tank (Abaddon gets Resistance bonus, rest gets active shield bonuses). T2 ships are only biased towards gank (exception apoc perhaps). A Marauder simply augments the gank+tank and adds utility in form of utility high slots and tractor bonuses. Would be nice if this was reflected in their hull design.

I know this is not exactly high priority with all the imbalances clinging in the game, but it kind of disturbs me :)

How about this:
Make things even more interesting, make the Pirate faction ships that use racial hulls (Bhaalgorn, Rattlesnake) use the respective T2 hulls (Apoc, Raven) like Vindicator does already (megathron hull) and make Marauders use the T3 hulls. Bam done :D

You should be talking about tiers.

Highest tier hulls are probably not used to make them more unique.

Sadly rokh and hyperion are not really good for anything. Rokh lacks damage and local shield tank combined with blasters will make it even worse, not to mention it's slow as hell. Hyperion has it's own problems mostly cos megathron is just cool.

It's not about the balancing of said T3 (meaning Tier 3 in this context) hulls. It's just about seeing the hull visual being reused for Marauders - would make sense :D

We are talking about CCP? The same guys where the art department double as the janitorial staff, but spend more time cleaning then creating new ships? We had in order of what I remember, T3 ships (awesome!), Updated Scorpion (awesome! - promis of updating ships over a peroid of time), Zephyr (awesome!), Primae (awesome!), Notis (skinned over, nothing special), and Echelon (useless toy with no particular redeeming feature). So last expansion the Maller Hull got updated, which was about it since the Scorpion. Not including the competition or two where CCP said they would use a player submited concepts in game which has no ETA of when, CCP hasn't done much in the art department other then turrets (which no one asked for), Planets (which made them nice to look at), and Barbie in Space feature but I still cannot see my feet unless I pan way the hell out. So why bother worring about reusing other ship hulls, we still got close to another year (this is not including any christmas gift ship if they do it again this winter) before we see any ship get a make over if CCP keeps up with its current trend.

First of all, never use "T" to denote "Tier" — T already has a distinct meaning as "Tech Level".

Second of all the Tier-3 BS weren't used for any T2 variant since they were far too new when the T2s were introduced. Instead, the question should be why they weren't used for the (relatively recent) second-navy-BS release.

Yeah i was wondering WTF the op was talking about until i read the whole post. "T" - Tech only. otherwise you confuse people and in this game that is really easy to do.

As for the topic. Many of the ships need reworked, IMO. While its not necessary for spaceships to be symmetrical. Many ships in the game look like they went through a car spaceship crusher. I think instead of recycling the models for t2 ships ( when they get around to reworking many of them) they should give T2s their own distinct model.

Wrong.

Cruiser/hac/hic for the rupture, thorax etc

Cruiser/hac/navy for the stabber, caracal etc

Cruiser/Logi/Navy for the scythe, osprey etc

Cruiser/recon for the bellicose etc

No balance there, unless the recons have been reused somewhere else as well.

Frigates are the same way, some get two, some get one, some get none. Save the tier 3 battleships for a whole new class.

case of caldari...it wouldn't be wanted lol. Rokh follow on bs....no tracking bonus (which the gallente megathron carry overs get), that oh so spacious rokh drone bay </sarcasm>, and hybrid based (not looking to start a flame session....we have lots of threads for this, jsut saying is all).

Not seeing it being a top seller. navy scorpion was a wise choice for the new navy ship. Want tanky, didn't want to learn skills for rattler....hooked you up decent. Rokh tbh..offered nothing to make it a carry on. Also was in line with the skills of your average caldari pve'er. Unless a pvp interest...chance of caldari pilots with hybrids above a small hybrid train slim to none I'd say a good bet. Might see your oddball lolrox pilots but they at some point go if I want to do a gun pve bc...train for cyclone/cane till they can do a sleipnir and do it proper.

Rest of the races can't say if they got the wrong end of the stick. If so...well feel bad for you lol.

Not even a rokh hater....I like the ship. Jsut has no endurance for pve where you take alot of fire imo. Pvp...meh...jsut give it some smoke breaks on a long bash with certain ammo's and you'll be fine.
