So yeah. We killed the guy today in New Caldari, but only his podkill shows up. Where's the Revenent kill? Can we get a CCP guy to get on that?

Citizen Astur is a developer's live event character that was played by CCP Dropbear today at the PAX Prime 2011. He showed up in New Caldari earlier in a supercarrier and let the players kill him. Was great fun.

Maybe he selfdestructed and you didn't notice.

Maybe somebody did get the killmail and didn't realize it was them.

Maybe it is a bug, in which case you should file a petition because the people responsible for fixing such things don't frequent the forums.

Or maybe you shouldn't even bother filing a petition because if the killmail didn't get posted then it's extremely unlikely that they'll be able to retrieve the data.

So maybe you should post in general about how you killed a Revenent in Caldari Prime if you really want people to know that badly.

Oh, I see.

Carry on then.

Edit: Or maybe I don't read the news!

The most embarrassing part is that I've been playing Eve for six and a half years and I didn't know that the Revenent was a capital ship.

If you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have realized. I honestly had no idea what a Revenant/Revenent was. At first glance I assumed it was a faction BS or something.

Man, this is going to damage my bittervet cred, isn't it.

Sorta PvE, but not really. It certainly isn't PvP, as the only non NPC character fighting back is the developer controlling the actor character. It's really easy, and pretty much harmless to everybody, but I wouldn't classify it as PvE either. It's an Event, that's all. Killmails are nice to have to show people, "Hey I participated in a live event!" It's fun to have for sentimental sake.

Yes it was. CCP Dropbear was controlling 'Citizen Astur' at Pax Prime 2011. He logged into the actor account, used dev controls to move himself to New Caldari with a Revenant, and started chatting with the players in purple text.

A KM was generated, but I couldn't copy it from the client for some reason. I'll dig around for it using the GM tools when I get back to the office tomorrow.

Wierd. Maybe it was a problem with the machine you were one. You could try a different computer, I suppose. But then again, doing it at the office would seem like a better idea.

Wrong one.

Notice the pod kill on the 27th. How do you suppose Astur ended up in that pod?

I can safely say she wasnt in that pod for very long yes this is me gloating over one hell of a lucky warp

enter warp - see red pod warp with me - land and kill said pod - scoop the corpse - remember why i know that name half a hour later
