Now...let me present my idea to you. Before you quit reading because you think "I have no talent or ability for that" - I seriously doubt you could have less talent then me and I made the Concept page that's linked here. There is a free game maker program for us challenged types.
The idea is to build an old-style game (2D but preferably with isometrics to imitate a 3D game). The game design would be based on Eve but a much simpler and unique game.
Unique in that the people who help build it can put in thier ideas, ships, graphics...whatever we could agree on.
This idea is at the very 1st day of conception and is wide open - my only request is that noone expect CTA's, mandatory ops, contributing isk or money. :)
It would be a volunteer project with people participating only when they can and want to.
Our first task would be to write a page or 2 long game design document so everyone could have a clear idea of what we hope to do and what they could help do.
Then we could have a couple / few people that make up the "go to , dependable, always able to get ahold of" core group that would run the project.
Right now I'd just like to see if there is any interest in this - if there is-
I can give link to a free program that lets you make games with no knowledge of programming but also has its own open language based on C++ that allows you smart people to do much more.
Here is the link to my concept page
the info button has basically the same words as this post and the quit button will close it - it's only 15 sec download at really bad speed (DSL), download it, run the opening concept page - maybe we can quit whining about Eve and build our own game.
