I feel that the 3 accessibly characters are damaging the gaming experience and take advantage of skills that meant for a singly character like skills for the Market ,Planetary Interaction, also are used from people that they profit from the game using programmable characters to sell isk

Having one character will bring out your real personality that would have been if you really where out there in the EVE world and haven to deal with the outcomes of your actions

You obviously havent spent much time in 0.0. If your idea is to get people to stick to playing one character thats not a good idea both for the player base and for CCP. First its going to cause people to quit because they want 3 useful characters on an account typically. They often buy characters. It takes a long time to train a character to be good at everything a normal person needs to be good at to be functional in 0.0 and you can only train one at time per account.

Many people who live in 0.0 and probably a lot who dont would hate this idea as they would have to spend more money a month to get the same number of characters they need to play how they want to play. Most people have spec toons not jack of all trades toons.

I know more than a few people that have more than 10 characters. I know at least a couple off the top of my head that have over 15 active characters.

So no bad idea CCP nor the player base will ever go for it. It offers absolutely no advantages to either party save maybe a few "roleplayers"

P.S. Second Life is that way <-----

To have a cyno alt you need two accounts anyway to have them both active cino alt and capitol ship alt Rolling Eyes

main is on account 1 with carrier

account 2 has
a cyno alt
a research alt + manufacturing + PI
a scamming alt

he isn't spending $15 a month for a cyno alt, he is spending for a cyno research manufacturing and the occasional lolscam.

I use all 3 character slots on my alt account so I can have a neutral scout anywhere in eve within an hour, 45 minutes if it's lowsec, and 30 for highsec. I would say that as far as gathering intel goes, that's pretty damn important. incidentally I also use this character to be my forum alt.

For immersion, it would be a lot better if we would have 1 character and 1 character alone. (Meaning multiboxing would be illegal)

You'd probably have a lot less scams and stuff like that (as you can't change characters, your reputation would stick with you) and Bounties would actually mean something.

HOWEVER: That's something that should've been decided in Beta times, if not earlier. Now that we've got this situation, we're stuck with it, and honestly with cyno alts and everything I'm fine with the current situation

It makes a lot of sense of having only one character in so many ways, even if that happen I am positive that ccp will transfer the skill points from other characters to apply in to the one you use

not really. Look at the dude who corp thefted that nc corp for like 600+ billion. He found a home right quick. IIRC phreeze found a few homes too...even though it was known he had hepled himself to corp hangars from prior corps on the way out lol. Do you stuff right....seems to add to your appeal it seems lol.

Scammers...players would have to remember or dig up eve history to avoid known scam accounts. Not likely. another year or 2....bobby could go for titans 4 u part 2 and migth get a few bites lol. How he got bites the first time, no clue tbh.

Compared to other MMOs, EVE Online is stingy with the character slots. City of Heroes allows nearly a hundred characters spread across several servers, with an option to buy more slots.

Sometimes it's good to take a break from one character to work on another. Creating multiple characters gives you the opportunity to learn about the other empires.

this....

#2 needed since markets (and contracts) aren't universal access. Can see the contracts, have to be in range to take em though.

#3 because why jump into an empire clone jsut to haul stuff for 30 minutes then get stuck in empire for the night. As clone gets older and wiser....even blood cloning clean clones get expensive, implants lost just makes it so much more "fun" lol.

every game allows for multiple chars on one account. Its not eve design...its MMO law. founded years ago by wise game designers who said

sooooo, if we make only one account, we'll have players running just that 1 healer till they leave the game....or buy a 2nd sub

greedy dev goes...nice, moar money for us when they get bored.

wise dev went....nice, customers will see this setup and go screw this game, they want to drain my rl wallet when I get bored of being 1 char for a year

Marketting chimed in...said I like the wise dev's stance. lets have a few slots, let people run the shammy, the pali, the what have you....and we'll get people hooked on the same game for years. This on the box....will sell millions of copies.

thus....multiple chars per account was born. And it was good.

I only do this posts because I like the game is very different then any out there, both the developing team and the community all though most of the community acts like 8 year olds I still like them Wink

But I think one character per account is more appropriate, the EVE skill system is different than of other games .

I don't know why we cant have 10 chars, actually..
after all you can only play one at a time per client, and only train one at a time also.

In the end, that's probably a money issue... if you can have a market alt and a cyno alt and a mission alt and a pvp alt and a capital alt and a miner on 1 account, well, it's better for CCP if you pay twice.

You know, some people play this game with other people, and to help those people they make cyno alts for them to use.

I also do not enjoy the huge risk of being podded in a character that has a medical clone that costs 20m.

But then again, no one really expected you to be that smart.

No, I rather like having my cyno/trader alts. I'm especially fond of the cyno alts thanks to having two accounts with a main character on each that are cap pilots. Didn't buy any toons and I prefer to kill bots rather than report them (it's faster and more effective tbh). Would deleting my 4 lesser toons cause me to quit eve? No, not in of itself. But the next time I got bored with an area, rather than spend a day moving I'd probably cancel my sub for a few months. I'm not about to spend 20+ hours jumping ships/gear around, 2-3 hours is bad enough.

But my friends we are suppose to play with the game not out smarted and manipulated to serve our needs in it, we are suppose to play around go here and there to cooperate with others, that is why there is limitations of access in sum skills in the market and for the PI, also clone jumps .

Donít get trapped for the need of more and more enjoy the game, making more isk and faster is not what the game is for what is for is the (struggle) of living in the space .

Sheer and enjoy
