Congrats! I was a bit late to seeing this, but such an accomplishment deserves a shout out.

Give the guy Jove space access so he can complete the journey!

I can remember wanting to do something like that when I just started the game but gave up on the idea pretty fast lol. Anyway here is a program I developed with some of my buddies that shows you the Eve Universe (in interactive 3D!) you have so patiently traversed.

Download the executable once you land on this page!

I have been to Jove space. As have many others when taking part in Alliance tournaments.
A GM moves you there to the arena and then back again after.

Stick this guy in Jove space for a week already. How much trouble can he cause in a condor.

Quite awesome. Congratulations. I think I want to try this some time as well. I've been aching to do some new stuff and this certainly qualified.

Just saw this on facebook.

I'm curious about the fit you used, and how many of them and how much nanite paste you ended up going through.

Well done compadre! Somehow this brings to mind the old EVE Tourist guy and his humorous travelogue. http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=842023 Anybody remember him?
In any event, a great accomplishment mate. Salute!

I was there!

Well not in a PVP sense, but have recently completed The Grand Tour of EVE by visiting every High, Low and Null sec system in the game.

The Systems I’ve Visited screen shot image was taken on 27 Aug 2011.

The idea came to me after reading about Jeran Tek and his journey back in 2007 to visit every system in EVE. I thought it would be a fun goal.

So, after four months in my trusty Condor (4-Foxtrot) “on the road” between May and August 2011, I have finally visited every system in the game.

I decided to use a Condor for a number of reasons, including

To prove the point that you do NOT need a Covert Ops ship to fly to any/every system in EVE, and for the price, you can loose a lot of Condors or the price of a Buzzard!

At the current prices, a Condor loss (with my T1 fit) is valued at about 146,000 ISK, a T2 well fit Buzzard costs around 32,000,000 ISK, this means I could loose about 220 Condors for a single Buzzard. As it turned out I only needed 22 Condors, which was a lot less than I expected when I first set out!

Even in a Covert Ops ship, Jeran Tek needed at least 4 Cheetahs to make it to every system in EVE.

Whilst it wasn’t really about the money, I could have afforded 22 Buzzards, it was more the principle than any monetary loss.

To all those who read my in-game Bio (explain why I was there), chatted in Local, and wished me well, thank-you.

Also thank-you to all those who saw me in their intel channels, and didn’t bother chasing this solo pilot in a Condor. Interestingly, it was fun to be able to out-run most of those who did decide to give chase.

And to all those who get a kill… well done.

Whilst some might think this to be an incredibly boring thing to do, it was more interesting than you might expect. You get to seen and experience all sort of different things within the game, and the wide variety of people that “live” in various regions.

I am now trying to work out a route through to the Jove regions, so a can “complete” my map. There has to be a secret jump bridge somewhere :).

I fully expect to be flamed down, but W/E.

I believe you have missed a system... SY-DAM in Etherium Reach. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well done nonetheless.

Out of interest, what was the highlight?

Quite a few "highlights"... but one funny / cool story was when I was out deep in "Russian space" and got killed / podded on a gate... and one of the guys messaged me with words to the effect of "... wtf were you doing in a Condor (with that bull**** T1 fit) ... out here..."

After explaining what I was doing and having a nice chat about EVE etc., he apologised for podding me.. and wished me well on my travels!

He also was every proud of the fact that he had learn to type in English whilst playing EVE for the past couple of years... which I though was very cool.

Interestingly, although there is a lot of negative sentiment towards the DRF and other Russian groups (for various "null sec politics" reasons"), personally, I found the EVE gamers in Russian space the most supportive/friendly within EVE.

Thank you for your kind words about Russian-speaking EVE gamers! In fact, it's enough of good people, but... opinion of masses forms only about worst and loudly individuals. I am very glad to see, what someone think different than most of people. P.S. Sorry about my poor English. Sad

And... congratulations!

congratulations! :-)
i just remember once i had the idea just to visit some places like the eve-gate system and the black blocks few jumps away, but after the first few lost ships i only had enough courage left to go there on sisi :-D
so, you're very courageous, chapeau!
