Ninja salvaging and looting is starting to be annoying while i mission, like on enemies abound 1 someone came in and took the mission objectives out of the rolette residence, it would be nice that you could not open the mission objective container unless
1. you are the mission holder
2. you are in fleet whit the mission holder

the fact that the looter gets the dogdags is still bearable whit me but that taking the mission objective is annoying, and more annoying is that you would need to pay around 10mil to buy those items from contracts to complete the mission, this would be nice addon to limit this as far as possible.

something like this has possibly already been posted but i didnt find any :/

100% agree, the mission item should not be lootable by a neut invading the mission.
also u can wait till after down time to redo the mission, but still mission item should be locked.

Heavens, we're so terribly sorry. Tell you what, for a one-off fee of 50-mil, I can make sure you never get bothered in missions ever again. Send it to this char from your main, and its a done deal.

Second idea: On deadspace missions the initial acceleration gate should be usable only to:
1. mission holder
2. if you are in the same fleet as the mission holder
3. to war targets
4. corporation members (not alliance)
5. in lowsec to everybody
6. person whit kill rights to the mission holder

And public scannable sites will be unlocked to all (havens etc.)
So basicly this would "force" ninja salvagers to actually learn to make their own isk instead of just stealing it from other players

Bad news: ninja salvaging is an entirely legitimate and intended form of gameplay, and loot theft has aggression mechanics tied to it to let you deal with the matter. None of that has anything to do with mission objective theft, though…

…but that is legal as well, as long as it's just done for extortion and the like. Welcome to EVE, where space is open to everyone.

These are all bad ideas, because they lock out legitimate players engaging in legitimate gameplay. It is an insane overreaction to a pitifully small problem (objective theft). The actual solution to that problem, if one is even needed at all, which is highly doubtful, is to set the ownership of the objective canister so the mission holder can defend it.

More bad news: they are already making their own ISK and they are not stealing. If you want that salvage, you have to earn it in competition with other interested parties.

In an amazing coincidence I found some Port Rolette Residents abandoned in space when I scanned down a Scorpion in Ruvas on the same day you posted. By abandoned I mean there was no mission runner even in there. So, I had to save them as well as collect up the worldly remains of the unfortunate victims of the MR's rampage.

Eventually the MR came back in a Noctis but leaving the mission objective behind while he reshipped was just plain sloppy and, of course, hazardous to the Residents. Won't somebody think of the Residents?!?!

BTW, they are still available in a private contract to S** W******l if he wants them. 10 million was about half of what they were selling for so I think that is quite reasonable.

mission item theft is an intended mechanic, it is not a byproduct
of developers stupidity or because they didnt know better, so your idea is not a novell idea at all but just a whine about intended game mechanic. Get over it, noob.
