compact 'limos' citedal torpedo lunchers for stealth bombers. Allow low sp players able to kill capitals with out having to commit capitals to kill them or massive blobs. About 10 guys with black ops & bait covert cyno ship included should beable to bush wack a solo carrier on station before he can dock if he is aggresed. The Torps Lunchers would have limited cargo spcae so reloading would happen often. The Torps would have little to no effect on sub caps.

Bascily force these capitals to have escorts.

I thought I would not like it but when thinking about it I decided I actually do.

It is one measure that with a package of others could make fielding capitals against a smaller foe actually a risk, promote a real fleet setup with escorts and cohesion and make for big wins and losses.

So essentially what you are saying, is you want to gank Orcas.

I would accept this on nothing less than a proposed t3 frig hull with a subsystem skill that provided progressive PG reductions of launchers per level. Where a citadel torp launcher could ONLY be fit at level V in which case the pilot faces not only a t3 hull loss (basically uninsurable) but also a day plus of SP loss.

Otherwise as the poster above noted, this ship would be the cheapest orca and highsec freighter ganker imaginable. While skill intensive (any capital module should be skill intensive) it would still provide an alternative to combating capitals with more capitals.

Also, "no" to a 'compact' version of citadel torp launchers. Fit the real thing or nothing.

A citadel torpedo launcher costs 34 million right now. If we can imply that its going to be similar to the bomber we have now, it's going to need at least 3.
A regular bomber costs about 20 million, so the ship with fit would cost more than 100 million isk. It probably wouldnt have more than twice the dps as regular bombers.
So it would hardly be the cheapest way to gank orcas...

Bombers with that crazy damage will be able to take down claiming structures relatively quick and risk free. To do it now you need either supers, that risk being hotdropped and killed, or large fleet of subcaps.

Small cloaky fleet taking down claiming structures isn't a good idea.

Thats the hole point surely, improving possible small gang warfare, giving people an option in terms of deployment. Bombers like these would surely be an asset and rather vunerable to any kind of destroyer/frigate fire.

If you give the tech II destroyer a means to ping out cloaks you got something. It would also make tech II destroyers more usefull apart from their bubbles.

Putting these on the stealth bomber is way overpowered. Should be a BS hull, preferably the tier 3 version and call it a heavy bomber. No cloaky though.

No you would put the same restriction on the compact citadel launchers as you would the bomb launcher.

Ganking is part of the game you canít turn that off. But like I said above limiting the launchers use to only null sec could be done. Compact meaning these torrents have limited ammunition it can fire at a time. Something like 5-6 torps so reloading because frequent. Fire rate would be around 8 seconds. DPS over Volley would be 2000/5000 for a maxed out bomber pilot. Again these torps would do little to nothing to sub-capital ships.

Yes Ö.. This is a very expensive kill for something like Vagabonds and/or Cynabal sthat can pop bombers like popcorn. Bombers and Black opís are not direct conflict ships. They are indirect forces that work around large fleets to get to their objective.

YesÖ You want something to take the weight off the need to have super capitals when dealing with sovereignty warfare. Thatís why people are crying now for a super capital nerf. Like I said above this is an indirect option to get something done. People already use the bomber to hit sovereignty structures that canít afford supers or can field a limited number of dreads.

The thing is Eve is stuck in this mentality you have to go bigger. Bigger ships, bigger alliances, bigger coalitions, bigger blobs, but you contradict yourself when you say I hate blobs or why canít a 300 man fleet kill a titan without supers blaah blaah blahh.
Itís not really just ship balancing but pilot balancing. There are not a lot of small tools that do big things. CCP needs to stop catering to use high sp babies. You want smaller think smaller. Not how can we make 150 man blobs kill a super carrier. More like how can we make a 50- 70 man gang kill a super carrier efficiently directly or indirectly, expensively or non-expensively, with or without capitals. Sand box right my options should be there and my decisions should affect my outcome.

Fluffy soft bombers that can be killed by 85% of the other ship classes canít really become over powered. But this is an indirect option. A more direct option would be Dreads that need a buff or your BS hull you speak off
