So we all have seen our fair share of miner bots hulking out our belts and can't do crap about it but try and usualy fail at proveing its a bot.

So here is an idea... Space moves, So should astroid belts. They dont need to move much, they just need to move enough to throw off bookmark programed spots... this would make the bot user have to go in there each day to manualy set the movement points for each and every belt they are having it warp too... and having each belt move after server reset would be perfect and wouldnt realy bother the acctual people out there...

Im not going to pretend I know how the bots work because I dont but hey Might as well see if people have atleast thought of this.

Hey there.

Some things to point out with your idea. If a player drop a canister in the mining field, will that one follow the asteroids aswell?

If it will then botters have their workaround there. Instead of warp to zero they warp to can.

If they wont, then imagine if a player have dropped 10 of these cans. That will cause an inconvenience for the player having to redeploy his cans every day.

A couple of things to think about :)

In terms of miningbot workarounds I like ideas that involves more interaction between the game and the player. Like a random maintenance warning, and if you fail to respond to it then the module will break down, and you have to do a small maintenance task to get it back up again. But this will also most likely be an inconvenience to players that are used to turn on their module, and let the game run in the backround while they do some stuff at home.

easier solution is leave (vanilla) veld in "known" belts...

... the rest of the minerals are in grav sites.
