LOL, I just fly my frig and sit next to noctis and Ctrl-A drag and drop as the wrecks come in, fool.

I was missioning in my mael when a guy turned up in a incursus and started ninja'ing. I finnished what i was doing alligned to a safe spot, locked him, n just before i warped alpha'd his ass with 1400's.

I picked up 2 megas on d scan everyso often after, but i just kept warping to safes untill the timer finnished.

Moral of the story, have a million safe spots (at least 3 in places u hang out), and people that rely on you being stupid arnt normally very clever themselfs. Wink

Terrible advice.

Explain then?
by that arguement i could just say, Good advice, and be back where we started?
try actually adding something to a conversation Neutral

Sure, it's very very bad advice because I kill people like you every day. The exact same ship, same tactic ALWAYS ends badly. None have gotten away. Here's how it works:

I scan you out, drop ship sig in my fleet chat with ship type just incase I have to pop your sig again

Drop in with speed tanking frig steal your lootz, you begin aligning out, I actually watch your ship and the celestial you align to (we have to actually watch your ship, you know that right?)...

You shoot in rage, I don't instapop cause I'm using transversal and AB 800m/sec speed with armor buffer tank plus Orca links are running for skirmish so my sig radius is reduced and my point extended

You warp away, if to station then you have 1 minute agression timer cannot dock, my Orca with a 1,200 DPS proteus is waiting for me when needed, its already aligned to the same direction (although you don't know this, cause its at the nearest planet). Usually, I tackle you at station in my frig, moar bait for my Maelstrom sandwich, you engage again (typical) or I switch auto overheat and melt.

If you warp to a safe spot few things happen, I drop probe at 8au in general direction and pop your sig again or you warp to your 2nd safe and I pop that sig, bm etc.,

100% Success rate man, means you gave bad advice

you can ask this guy:

all who thot aligning out and warping were gr8 ideas.

This was the first time I had ever been ninja salvaged in EVE and I got very anxious at first. I didn't shoot them because I knew that they would easily kill me back, I was in a BC and they were in Navy Frigates.

Although I did manage to get them to leave by destroying the wrecks, has anyone got any advice of what to do in future?

The most important thing of all when dealing with ninja's is to deny them your tears.

I suggest you start using the self-destruct button when ninja's appear.

That's a great tip! I generally begin self-destruct process before going into every fight... ya know, just in case.

Here's some more advice, if you don't know wtf you're doing, don't do it.

Shooting the wrecks pretty much lets every one know your at-least lightly versed in anti ninja maneuvers.

--1.
Destroy the wrecks.

--2.
Let them follow you around, they will get bored of wasting their time, in some cases they resort to killing your mission ships for you!, sometimes private contact you and ask see if your mad, my usual reply's tend to get ninja tearz=Example
Are u mad bro?
Was I suposto be?
Just repeat the super carebear super passive act till, if the chat goes on for a long enough period of time, you just might get a ninja Sniffle/nose wipe and if your really lucky, some tearz!

Once they realize that im totally ignoring them, and mission after mission, hours and hours later there is nothing to gain but maybe a few million from kill bounty's, they dont ever want to see my ugly mugg again.

hmm im impressed you made quite a killing (pun intentended) n im goin t guess thats not all of them lol.
but i will defend my point here just out of pride really Wink

First I would never warp to a celestial in a situation even close to this, so you carry on n warp to some planets or moons or whatever, i would warp to deep safes and keep MOVING, like i already mentioned before, old habits die hard, ive done my stint in 0.0 (should be going back soon Very Happy ) n have dodged bigger problems than an orca supported T3

Also im not a complete carebare phool that will take a random pot shot at an orbiting incursus. The one i shot had 0 transversal or close enough too, whilst it went after a wreck.

With 15 active accounts, don't assume this is my only killing machine... regarding escape and evasion tactics, they don't work.

You null sec ubber leet pvper running missions will admittedly warp away to a safe, I don't warp to you, I probe your a$$ down with the press of 1 button - remember my prober is level 5 l337 with virtue implants can pop your can at 8au

when I warp my prober to you, he's cloaked - I have 15 minutes of aggro left, more than enough time... then I warp my other l337 cov ops at range directly at you, which btw I always have on field (many people see him sitting at station - its the one that ship scans while you dilly dally outside station), the 2nd cov ops is for knocking you out of alignment.

Also, these are not your normal covert ops, they are fit for speed, they go super fast while cloaked - sikrits being revealed.

100% success Pancho, don't try to out think a Greiser

if you don't believe me ask him, cause its exactly how I planned his death, with an alignment bump while he was at a safe:

If you need moar lessons, here's the best advice DO NOT SHOOT NINJAs, they are better trained, equipped and generally smarter than most of Eve. That's why they are called Ninjas o_O?

I podded one ninja in high sec with an alt in a jag. I was running lv4 in a drake with my main... He wasn't happy as I sent him back to his station.

never been ninja salvaged again with them two char's.

Had an encounter with a ninja before the noctis period. Reshipped the missionrunner in a t1 fitted drake and an alt in a t1 fitted plated rupture. Destroyed both his hawk and his alt repper. Lost the rupture due to the cheap fit and some ****ty flying, but we had fun none the less. We GF each other and ninja's stopped warping in.

My advice would therefor be to putt your balls to the wall and fight.

I must say, there is truth to this post. I am of the Ninja school of thought, if the carebear fights back and wins then I leave him alone. He has won the match and deserves some respect. Many can attest to my actions.

As a born-again mission running carebear I simply ignore them. I figure that nothing is gonna grief the little toads more than their having absolutely no impact on my activities.

Even if I was looting / salvaging my wrecks they're not ever going to be able to carry much away. Sure, if you're relatively new the flashy-red status can be a little troubling ... just go with the flow and let them flash away if it makes them feel good.

Shooting my wrecks acknowledges their presence and tells them I'm a little upset that they're breathing - I don't want to do that.
Abandoning my wrecks acknowledges that they exist - I don't want to do that.
Warping away acknowledges that they exist - I don't want to do that.
Convoing them or yarping in local shows that they matter - they don't.
Shooting them not only acknowledges they exist but also encourages their games - I certainly don't want to do that.

Ignore, ignore, ignore.
