This is a link to a local artist (here in Portland, OR), who's fairly recent album release has enthralled me, especially when blowing things up in EVE.

Imagine if Han Solo and Jubal Early (Firefly's philosophical bounty hunter) double-teamed a willing Caldari groupie, and the subsequent offspring became a Hip Hop Bounty Hunter in the EVE Universe.

Now you have Star Pilot's Lament.

At the behest of some EVE Redditor's (after posting this link there, as well), I've received numerous suggestions for alternatives to the in-game EVE music. I've listened to quite a bit of it in the subsequent days. Most of it's good, some of it's not, but it's all worth it's weight in Trit.

My hope for this post is three-fold:

1. To bolster a local artist's sales, thus allowing him to make more killer art.
2. To spark more discussion on music alternatives while flying internet spaceships.
3. To amuse myself at the inevitable "lol noob, see original post here <link>".

There's too much on the forums to look for everything, and I enjoy supporting local art that doesn't suck. Because, let's face it, just because it's local, doesn't make it any good. 90% of 'local music' is horse****. This isn't. This is Prime Arkonor.

Well that is certainly different.

I listened to 'Launch' and immediatelt thought to myself 'wonderful, a kind of KLF - Chill Out, with Space games as the journey....'.
Couldnt have been more wrong could i Question. The next 2 songs im hit with a very downtempo style Cee Lo Green, that i had a few issues with - i say to any potential other listeners, bare with it. The 2 songs in question, 'Leave' and '2 Guns' are not terrible but there is a few issues with the downtempo (yes even further) vocal slides and weak lyrics... but its important to listen, and not too bad really, as a story unfolds throughout the entire album.

The beats are SH... and the music on the whole complex and meaty enough for anyone to enjoy the laid back beats and rhythms.

The next 4 songs are truly on form, and i think from here the rest of the album goes into a much better musical realm from the sleepy start.

On the whole both i and my GF are really enjoying the listen, and thank you for pointing this guy out.

One last critique... i prefer my computers to sound more human Wink
