Hey there,

just a quick question... I read on the forums that PI is too click-intensive, a waste of time.. blah blah.
Regarding the "click-o-rama"....

to me it seems like once the set up of installation layouts, schematics and routes is done, itīs about it when it comes to tedious clicking.
or do most of the people mean the resetting of extractor-heads at the start of a new cycle ?

i mean, the routes stay intact , dont they ? so whatīs the hassle ?
so far the only Red Flag I can see is to find enough "windows of opportunity" to do the hauling through 0.0....

also, regarding production rates .
i just wanted to get a rough estimate and build (yet another) spreadsheet.
e.g. P2 commodities production.

3000 units P0 > 20 Units P1 > then 40 units (which is needed from two P1-Products) > 5 Units P2

is that correct ?

They've helped out a lot. Used to be multiple extractors instead of one extractor + multiple heads.

yup.

IIRC the (output) progression is :
3k -> 20 -> 5 -> 3 -> (p4)

3k -> 20 P0 -> P1
40 + 40 -> 5 (P1 + P1) -> P2
10 + 10 -> 3 (P2 + P2) -> P3

Dunno about P4 offhand though.

so..letīs assume my harvesting cycle (24h) pulls in
900.000 P0(1)
and
855.000 P0(2)
which results in
6000 P1(1)
and
5700 P1(2)
which then results in
712 P2

Is this correct ??

900k / 3k = 300 * 20 P1a (6000)
855k / 3k = 285 * 20 P1b (5700)

a single P0 -> P1 reaction can make 960 units in 24 hours
(2 cycles/hour * 24 hours * 20/cycle). You'll need 5-6 of each P0 -> P1 factory to eat all the units of P0 in 24 hours.

Assuming you have this...

6000 / 40 = 150 * 5 P2
5700 / 40 = 142.5 * 5 P2

A single (P1 + P1) -> P2 reaction can create 120 units in 24 hours (1 cycle/hour * 24 hours * 5/cycle). 142 cycles will yield you with 710 P2, leaving a factory full of P1a, and half a load of P1b. You'll also have a few runs of P1a in the launchpad/silo.

Obviously this assumes your numbers are the "after 24 hours" and have taken into account that that is sustainable. Depletion will reduce yields, and usually shortly after the "halfway" mark of your mining programme (e.g. 12h for a 24h programme, or 2d for a 4d programme)
