Hand over all that cash and your ships - WTF were you thinking, OP?

I completely agree with everything that has been said about the OP's naivety...but it does amaze me that the people who are telling him to GTFO because of the way he allowed himself to be scammed, would never have the balls to do anything like this in RL and would simply delete an email from a RL scammer (anyone want to help a Nigerian prince move money out of the country lol?).

Double standards becuase they can hide behind internet pixels?

It's some crazy custom here to bark at quitters, telling them how little you care or how glad you are.
I'm sure Freud could explain this better...

"Welcome to New Eden"

You must have seen the signpost that says "Don't trust anyone"?

Isn't this in the tutorial?

I'm sorry you're quitting EVE, but you know, you can exact revenge on people in this game and there are more than enough ways to get back at someone.

CCP understand that for there to be a game mechanic that allows scamming, there must be an equal or greater game mechanic for getting your own back. If it was a one way street, it wouldn't be fair - but they want you to get your revenge, don't you see?

Though far from unique, a wonderful story, that I'm sure amused us all greatly. Thank you.
It's somewhat weird though, that you could play EVE for so long without discovering the harshness this game so boasts of.
