I woke up from an odd dream today that I can only conclude was about Sansha Kuvakei (his dream-representation, if that's what it was, appeared older and different from the media-images of Kuvakei). These are "dialogue snippets" from that dream, some of which have been semi-fictionalized in those cases where I've forgotten the precise details.
I'll call him Sansha here, though that should probably be in quotation marks.
SANSHA: This really was supposed to be a party. Instead, I suppose it's going to be a party-party. Offensive trouble-makers!... How many dead? [A bomb had gone off]
SANSHA'S WEIRD FRIEND: OK, so release those who your good sense tells you they are no trouble, right? Put the rest to the device - the what you call it - the truth reson --
SWF: Yes. Ask them one question, "Are you here to enjoy yourselves or here to make trouble?"...
SWF: ... There's time for that. Then you snap it off if they say yes. Maybe a little damage.
S: Not, really. Ten seconds.
SWF: Kill the rest... You see! But then - ha! - You publish the device, yes, then people not so mad at you.
S: I'll think about it.
SANSHA [to the assembled now-"guests"]: Welcome to your very own apocalypse, but in this apocalypse you do not die. All the little demon elements that make up your pseudo-consciousnesses -- they die.
SANSHA: ... Our invisible companions? They are new thought. Even as your old thoughts are based on the same... tech.
NOW-"GUEST": My thoughts are my own.
SANSHA: They are constructions. They operate, at the core, upon the exact same principles.
SANSHA: You have a right to be frightened! That's fine! Be frightened! But what comes after any good fright?... Who can tell me?
PIPE-SMOKING COMPATRIOT: It always has that odd effect when they push their hand up to the back of the head. It looks like some strange martial art whose practitioners know how to reach the precise pressure-points to instigate death, but it's that rush of nan's tearing into the flesh and running up inside neck-and-jaw, that's what creates that weird distention before they keel over. They're rather-like cartoon characters when they hit the table.
YOUNG ACOLYTE: But that does kill them, right?
PSC: What? Of course!. This is only if you want to kill them. And put on a show. You wouldn't want them to stand up like that, would you?
ELEGANT AGENT: You are free to carry on, darling. Really.
INNOCENT GIRL: Really?
EA: You showed me something that I hadn't seen before, so yes... Here. Keep this as a token.
IG: Thank you.
EA: You might want to fill it with drink. I'm sure you can find some on the way out.
IG: Thank you.
EA: Really, sweetheart. The exit is that way.
SANSHA: I want them to think of it like the finest Crystal or Blue. That would be the best thing. I am an excellent host.
SANSHA'S LOVER: I doubt that people will show up to any more or your parties, K, let alone come within a K.M. of your invitations.
S: I could have so easily kept this quiet. I could have manufactured something.
SL: I've never known you to be quiet, K. You're too big-hearted.
S: Perhaps, my love. But you do know that I'm quieter than you.
Ok, so I made up that last bit (I think) but it captures the essence of what "Sansha" was feeling.
I haven't given Nation all that much consideration before, but now I'm beginning to wonder at something that might be getting closer than I'd thought.
That's it, really. I just felt the need to share it.
