So I just got back to eve and read the Apocrypha patch notes. It said that its now impossible to completely scanproof a ship with sig radius and sensor strength modification. After shedding a single tear I went looking for new info, but couldn't find anything up to date. Anybody know what the new formula is? Is it still possible, if not to scan-proof, to make it prohibitively time consuming and annoying for scanners?

Yep. You can't do scan-proof anymore, but you can still do scan-proof-for-anyone-without-a-max-skilled-prober-with-faction-gear. IIRC it was something like better than 1.08 was unscannable, now it just bottoms out at a barely scanable number somewhere around there.

So does sensor strength still matters, or only ship size (sig radius) ?

like before the nerf. they just introduced a hard cap on the number the guy above posted, think it is 1.04 or 1.08.
basically means, you can cram as much eccm or sig lowering stuff on your ship, number won't pass past the hardcap, so people can still probe you.

finding you then requires: perfect skills, sisters implants, sisters gear, rigged covert ops ship

conclusion: super unlikely someone get a hit on you when you sport your prenerf unprobable T3

The probes still use almost the same formula as before. Only just modified to not allow being safe from probes, so yes both sig radious and sensor strength are important.
