Sansha Kuvakei made another daring raid into Empire Space today bringing a huge fleet of battleships, battlecruisers and a flagship Supercarrier, The Kundalini Manifest into Oijamon.

Using their wormhole technology, the Sansha were quickly able to bring the local constellation to a stand still, positioning themselves on system gates and station docking entrances to prevent the free movement of the local population. Resistance was swiftly beaten down as lasers, torpedoes and a selection of EWAR was brought to bear on any ships entering the system or undocking.

The pilots of New Eden responded in kind as soon as word began to spread out over the local communications channels, forming up huge fleet to drive them back. At one point in the battle, nearly 200 capsuleers had engaged the Sansha forces, working to remove their support ships before turning their fit onto the Flagship Super Carrier.

After a long and intense battle, the Kundalini Manifest was destroyed and the wormhole on the gate to Auviken collapsed. Celebrations, however were short lived as reports quickly came in of a second wormhole protected by a huge fleet of Sansha Beast Lords was discovered close to the systems sun. Moving swiftly to intercept, the capsuleers were able to defeat them, destroying over 390 battleships and leaving a sprawling battle field of wrecks.

As to what the Beast Lords were doing at the centre of the system is a different story. Light Speed Interactive have received conflicting reports concerning some direct interest by the Sansha in the Sun itself but wed advise the local population to not be concerned as yet.

That camera drone capture has some strange artifacts. Perhaps just some anomalous lens refraction or a regular object from an irregular angle. Still, rather curious. Perhaps others have some explanation to clear it up.

As for the battle; well fought. I missed a chance to help by just a few hours, it seems.

Here's the enhanced image, in case anyone was curious about what I was referring to:

Velicia - Thanks for the report. If you (or others) have higher-resolution captures, or closer-in ones, of this wormhole I'd be very interested in seeing them. I assume this is the first (gate) wormhole rather than the second (sun) one?

Renee: I'll get our image team examining the other footage more closely for similar shapes!

Rhavas: That is the Sun wormhole. The sun is behind the drone. Drop me a mail and I'll arrange a transfer for some additional imagery.

This and 8 other larger shots that I could retrieve are available here

I hope they prove useful.

Velicia - These are great pictures, thanks for sharing them. I found one that is particularly good.

By any chance do you have a capture of the Local fluid router log from the Hebisa event, or still shots? I did see your video in the other thread.

Watch for a post on Project Catapult - I hope to have it up within the next 24 hours. Your expert help would be an asset to the project.
