Say an alliance owns eleven outposts. One of the outpost can become a capital outpost where the alliance can install pos guns, web, warp scram, and ECM modules around the outpost. The capital outpost would have a module you can install on the outpost that increases the CPU and power to allow more pos modules to be anchored. In addition the gates can have these pos modules anchored around the gate and have a way to upgrade the gate to one of the larger gates so that more pos modules can be anchored around the gate. Basically the outpost and gate would have some amount of CPU and power to limit the amount of pos modules that could be anchored and a way to increase the CPU and power. I think the capital outpost should have a way to increase the number of manufacturing, and research slots. Systems with capital outpost would be the only system you can anchor capital ship building modules at a pos. The idea is the capital outpost would become the major trading hub and staging system for the alliance. It would be the “Home” system for the alliance. Each alliance would be allowed to have one capital outpost. I think I would also require the alliance to have 400 members to have a capital outpost.

How would this benefit the game in any way? The only thing this leads to is taking the responsibility of defending your assets away from the players and to automated structures. Seeing as how this is a player-driven MMORPG, well...

Also, the last thing that nullsec needs at the moment is systems which take even longer to capture.
