Can i use a smart bomb in high sec with someone im war deced with without concord coming? i.e. if i was in an asteriod belt and close to a secure container or asteriod, and i used my smart bomb to defend myself, would concord come and kill me for using it in high sec? |

Yes and no. Yes you can use a smart bomb in high sec to kill your wt's. No you can't if you attack someone else.
Smart bombs are pretty blunt weapons with large areas of damage, which is why you get a warning message before using one. |

Theoretically you could use it against your war target or unfriendly NPC targets. The problem is that you must not hit any neutral target. That could be a container, wreck, ship, some of the structures in missions or drones. Even worse the ship you were hitting could be cloaked. |

Using a smart bomb in high sec does not guarantee an automatic CONCORD response. Smart bombs may be used against any entity which you could normally use a turret or missile against without CONCORD response.
However, Smart bombs do not distinguish between entities which you have permission to attack, and entities which you do not. If *ANY* object which you do not have permission to attack is with in the smart bomb's area of effect, CONCORD will respond should you activate the smart bomb.
This can get very confusing in missions, where most objects in a mission can be shot at without CONCORD response, but AFAIK, there might be a few exceptions (for example, I have never tried shooting an acceleration gate or navigation beacon). |

I know a guy who fitted a new BS for missions with a single smartbomb and decided to test the smartbomb at Jita planet 4, landing at 0. There was a cloaked SB there. |

I used to use a small smartbomb on a Condor with NOS and a small shield booster to do level 1 missions, and rat asteroid belts.
The risks were extremely high, but I was careful (lucky) and never suffered the wrath of CONCORD.
It was fun.
My very old bio still tells of my fondness for smartbombs.

I know of a guy who had half a dozen capsules warp on him while firing his smartbombs in High sec.
He was last seen in Low sec, ratting his security standing up again..... |

I remember fitting a smart bomb to my ship when doing an L2 (?) in Aunennen back in the day. It was a drone mission, and it was epic. I think I survived the mission for about half a minute, and waved at the gate campers when flying back out in my pod to cancel the mission and face the wrath of the agent. |
