Check my Bio for my personal records. So far the longest flight I've made without a warpdrive is 64,062 km flying at 3152 M/s.

If you would like to join the Normal Space Runners World just send me an email and join Channel NSRW in game.

That must have taken days surely?

149597870km / 3.152 km/sec = 549 days according to my calculations.

Ah, ninjaedit AU into KM...

Uh, Aurora has it as 64,062 Kilometers, not AU as your quote somehow has it.

Interesting thought, a challenge :D

What would be the fastest possible ship type and setup to achieve the fastest warpdrive speed ? This is of course assuming nominal navigation and warpdrive SP's on the toon flying the ship. I'm keen to find out how fast and far I can fly such a ship in say, 1 hour. Should be able to extrapolate distance covered in 24 hours, based on a decent 1-hour baseline.

Would be handy to have some kind of light-year counter (or parsecs or astronomical units?) on each ship one flys around in, rack-up them AU's ;)

If you warp to certain celestial objects, usually stars, you end up a certain distance inside them and are kicked out again. It is possible to cover vast distances in this manner, and it technically isn't warping.

Mmm makes me miss the old days of dual-mwd punishers, I never reached the backdrop in New Eden, but it was fun flying 30km/s sustained.

I have done just this on multiple occasions travelling distances from 1.4 million KM to 2.5 million KM depending on the mass of the ship and the speed at which you impact the stellar core. There are a couple IGS threads where you can read about this. Here http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1557205 and here http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1507215&page=4

We have recorded velocities in excess of 300,000,000 M/S sub-warp.

The maximum sustained top speed nowadays is about 21.786,21 m/s on "regular" subwarp propulsion. Overloaded this got a peak speed of 31.659,50 m/s.

ahh them were the days. I remember hitting 24, 25,000m/s in a overheating Crow before the nano nerf.

If you add Loki bonuses that makes it 21.8km/s. Also, the a-type has no use whatsoever, might as well use a T1.

The 8mwd scorp was better, when mods were one size fits all.

They may be fast, but when you run out of cap boosters you're not going to set any distance records.

Back in they day of Multi-MWD setups you could get a Scorp to about 3au/s non-warping

...the official CCP explanation to the nerf was; "hamsters ate your microwarp drive - enjoy the new and improved engine expansion - now with much less warp and much more drive. (Incarna with no microtransactions what so ever coming soonTM - stay flying)".

With a full Snake set, Zor's Custom Navigation Hyper-Link, Quafe Zero, and a maxed, Mindlinked Loki in a C6, this gets 25.2 km/s CAP STABLE, and 37.3km/s overheated (though it burns out in 1:40). No, it's not the absolute max speed, but I'm not sure if there's a faster speed that's cap-stable

Ofcourse 8mwd scorp is better.. but I never frapsed that.
