Hi all,
I've been thinking for a while about a new project, and slowly an idea formed in my mind for a paypal like payment provider.
Before actually starting the development however, I would like to know if something like that would actually be used by others then just my own websites, and if so what kind of features would be appreciated.
So the basic idea (Assuming in this case you have a website that will perform these payment requests) is as follows,
1) Your website will make a request to our gateway, providing the amount to be transfered, recipient etc. 2) The gateway will then give you a redirection URL, where you transfer the user. 3) The user pays the amount due. Due to the way this service is set up the source of the ISK can be many-fold, including cooperating services (out of game ISK banks for instance), in-game etc. 4) The transaction is validated. The website is notified through a callback system and the user redirected back to the website in question.
This would allow an out-of-game system for quick payment validation and subscription possibilities.
Any input would be highly appreciated.

Who's going to use it, that doesn't already have their own method? There is also a limitation factor with speed. Some one has to manage the middle man service (transfer it to the refer, deduct it from the recipent), the API etc. on desposits/purchases/withdrawals.
The other issue too, is the trust factor and you'd need to have a wide variety of places using it, for it to be worth it, otherwise it's unnescessary hassle for the user. |
