I was just courious how much does it cost say to build a hurricane with perfect building skills. Would it be worth me building ships and moving them to low sec to sale, Or just buying them from market hubs and then resale them in low sec?

Both could work out very well, depending on the price you charge and the trade volume. Often you can charge above cost where there is sufficient demand.

Don't forget about transaction taxes and broker fees when you do the math.

If you want to know costs (including taxes and broker fees), I suggest using my program:

Hurricane cost to manufacture:

Price does NOT include the cost of a BPO/BPC. Price does NOT include manufacturing fees. And price assumes perfect ME (you won't see this, but you can see very close.)

*Please ignore the last column. It's just the value divided by 100 for ammo purposes.

Current price of a Hurricane being sold in Jita:

This is all really easy stuff to do, and if you plan on getting into manufacturing at all you really should learn how to make your own spreadsheets and do your own research. Or, at the very least, use other people's spreadsheets to get the same information.

nice sheet.. I really should redo my own sheet to do it like yours, right now I just copy/paste lines and add up etc. instead of having a list and selecting.. much easier once you got that going I guess.. anyway, I am probably sooner goign to write my own industry tool and use the database... if I ever get off my lazy ass and do it. ;)

Databases are really easy. Just Google "SQL Tutorial" and read some pages, you can pick it up in a couple of hours.

Hi there,

comming back to the topic I can say that based on my experience you always can have competitive prices when you buy stuff in one region and sell the same in another region.
It will prevent you from buying upfront a BPO and research them. On short term you will make more profit on that and you see how many units you can sell in the various markets for wbat kind of price.
Take a shuttle. You easily get it for around the material cost but you can sell it in at least all regions for a minimum of 50% margin. NO high roller but take it as an example. Most of the goods can be sold this way. As long as this situation persist, simply find your set of goods and do trading.

Cheers
