I was just wondering if there has been any attempt at price fixing mInerals by withholding them from tue market or agreeing to a set higher price? Is this even possible?

Yes, it's possible. Yes, it has been attempted many times over. Don't ask how many. No one knows.

really moot question. I saved all the minerals I mined for 4 years.. hording them didn't impact the market at all.. and in fact, recently selling those same minerals didn't impact the market for more than a 24 hour period. a small group trying to effect the market on a large scale? theoretically possible, practically improbable; you'd have to mine up a significant percentage of assets, or buy them for a very high price in massive quantities...

Markets for most materials are impossible to manipulate in any meaningful way because of their nature and the supply. There is constantly an influx of product and unless you can control that influx then it will resist that manipulation.

It would probably take more isk than most players (and probably most alliances, even) have.
