I stopped playing Eve a few months back after my pc got burned out. And although I do not have any credible evidence that it was Eve that caused my pc to fry I am fairly sure it was Eve that caused it. Luckily for me my pc was still under warranty and the company I bought it from repaired everything free of charge.

So, the question is. Is Eve safe to play on a slightly clocked machine or should I wait until any remaining issues are settled?

my whole system is highly overclocked and the temps are fine. I dont think Eve is causing any problems its just that most people dont have enough airflow inside their case and when something breaks they blame EVE.

The guy above is right about airflow. You'ld be surprised how much that makes a huge difference in keeping your rig from turing into an oven.

I keep Captains Quarters off. Never had a problem since. No more annoying your "cpu is overheating" messages.
