Atm, I have a set of +4 implants. Over the course of 2 years, I'd save a month (not counting remaps). Are +5's worth the isk? I just can't bring myself to purchase them when the amount of time saved is pretty minimal. Guess I really just need to hear it from other players. XD

So, opinions on the matter?

Its up to you. The time saved is the same as the difference from +3s to +4s.

So why do you have +4s and not +3s? Well of course the answer is because +4s are relatively cheap compared to +5s. To some players, +5s are a drop in the bucket, and they have no hesitation buying them. To people who pvp a lot in 0.0, find themselves in bubbles etc, I'd say +4s are the safe bet.

haha, Hi casthor ;).
If you got a long skillplan and the isk to buy them they are really worth it!

Don't get a full set start with 2.
If you have a specialized skill-plan that should do.

Went ahead and bought a full set minus Charisma. Figured I'd go ahead and buy all that were relevant before I changed my mind.

I have a full set of +5's just because I can't stand to wait a year to optimize. They work great.

Every time I've bought +5s I've regretted it. Some people keep a +5 clone stashed in a safe station so that they can clone jump to it when they're away from EVE for a while.

I've never spent long enough in one jumpclone to make +5s worthwhile. As the OP discovered you have to keep them in for 2 years to recoup the extra cost over +4s

ie one month time saved over 2 years = about 375mill for a PLEX, which isn't far off the cost difference.

If you live in Empire, you can easily avoid being podded so....

the trick is to buy only two.

Get perc/will +5s in one clone and int/mem in another (if you are remapped for balance)

... if you are optimized and only train x/y get a couple of those clones depending on your jump clone use.

I'm not sure I see why this would be any better than having them all in one clone. Enlighten?

Err, not losing them ALL when you die? Is it not obvious?

Well yeah, that is. Just wasn't sure if that was the only reason.
