I see a lot of threads about boosting this and nerfing that. Has anyone thought to train for all four race ships and all associated weapon systems? By this I mean you have the respectable skills to back up the ship and the fitting. If you have then in what ship classes. |

Cross training for multiple races is 'eventually' very wise (and as more characters get older, more common).
However, in the short term, I recommend getting well trained on one race type/tank type.

Get proficient in a current good race then cross train to one of the worst, since they are often the next to be on top. Might take a year or two to happen though.
And yeah, my main has all four races crosstrained Tech II BS and below, weapons and hulls. Did it over 4+ years though.

I can use all subcap ships of every race, I am nerf proofed. All T2 and T3 ships even, can use all T2 weapon systems for each race, on top of that I could fly a Nyx if I wanted by getting with a alliance. But I never was into blob warfare. Maybe some day. |

I'm training all race's ships and weapon systems to at least mid-level.
Mostly to have a more interesting variety in combination of ships-weapon systems. |

The SP distribution is fairly consistent with my gameplay style : jack of almost all trades, master of nearly none. I can build most things, I can fly everything sub-battleship adequately, I can borderline fly two of four racial JFs, BlOps, Marauders, Dreads and Carriers, I can trade quite well, I can invent or reverse-engineer halfway decently, and so on and so forth. I'm quite satisfied with my SP distribution, it's what *I* need. Originally by: Daenerys Fire Targaryen OMG your wallet @[email protected]'
That's only about half of my total NAV (rest is some stocked products and various other investments), not even considering the potential sales value of the character (which I don't plan to ever sell). And I'm probably still not even in the top 100 wealthy EVE individuals. |

Is it no longer considered well-distributed SP if someone has 75-90% of the relevant skills for every ship class at level 5? |

Well, I suppose he only considers PvP-centric SP to be "useful", and anybody with "just mostly" L5 skills (and rest L4) instead of all-L5 in relevant stuff to be monocleless peasants or something Oh, and there's one thing eveboard doesn't show : Linkage Please visit your user settings to re-enable images. Well, since my max corp size is 4300, 60% of that being 2580 individuals, while my corp has never even reached 100 members, I'd say training it higher would not be that much of a priority. Wouldn't you agree ? Besides, if I train it higher, I may not enjoy the disparaging Minmatar/Gallente punchline jokes anymore P.S. What you should have joked about is my attributes Achura old style 3 base charisma FTW (now 15 base in the new rules, when minimum possible after a remap is base 17). |

http://eveboard.com/pilot/Ris_DnalorThe constant nerf / boost of eve that has been ongoing since it's inception is actually what drove me to generalize instead of specialize, so yea, I'm pretty much nerf proof now in that I can simply change to whatever flavor-of-the-day happens to be in style atm, but... it does take awhile... |

Liquid ISK makes no ISK. As such, one should try to minimize ISK in wallet while maximizing NAV. I'm actually not happy that I have so much liquid at all in the first place, but I'm too lazy to find good enough deals (decent gain, minimal effort) to invest more of it into. |
