I must add that these people, comeing from disarmed areas, usually have no guns and they get a home invasion too if they move in too close to a thug-infested 'hood. Yes, they check the tags of the car and if they see New York, Massachussets, or Illinois, that says "unarmed' and in they go. I've seen this - but that's another topic. Unfortunately the thugs are seldom hunted down and killed like the gators.

You must not get out of your basement much do you?

An airplane is incapable of seeking out more humans to suck up into the jet turbine. A more appropriate analogy would be:
"I wonder if by the same logic, if some idiot walks out onto the tarmac of an airport, and the pilot intentionally turns on the engines so the idiot gets sucked into the jet turbine of a 747 and gets maimed (killed - you don't survive these encounters), should we shoot the pilot before he has a chance to do it again?"

The reason why animals are killed after these events is because they are not fearful of humans and will not keep their distance from human habitat. Yeah, it's not fair to animals, since we take virtually all of the land on the planet for ourselves, but as I said - nature is a cruel mistress. Any one of these animals would do the same to us if they had such an advantage over us.

One man did, granted he wore a helmet.

My only point was, don't put yourself in a dangerous situation and then go John Wilkes Booth when something bad happens. Animals are only going to get less fearful over time as we continue to encroach on what little habitat they have left. Should probably just shoot them all now, as a pre-emptive strike.

And I agree with you wholeheartidly. About the humans encroaching on animal habitat part, I mean. Pre-emptively killing all animals would probably be a Bad Thing(tm), since mother nature provides us with some trillions of dollars worth of industrial expenses by replenishing oxygen supplies and carrying out various chemical processes every year.

Tangents, people, tangents! The discussion stops once you realize the killers came back to hunt the bear down, a-la http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Ptitlee10o9ju7
Congratulations! You killed a non-sentient member of a lower species because you thought it would be sensible. You complete morons!

What about THIS bear? Doncha think this one should be put down too?

Personally, I'd shoot and kill the cubs too, have them stuffed, have them in the den, standing on hind legs, paws up, looking ferocious.

I bet that 19 year old girl was wishing she had a shotgun instead of just a cell phone.
