Seems that a lot of the complaints from this year would be mitigated by having a separate server for participants to train on.

Server would include one system or room per team that includes a station with all items/ships and has a password that you must input to enter.

A very minimal server for this specific purpose would more than likely take a relatively small effort to do and might fix such things from happening again.

Setting up another server would cost money and take time off other projects. I'd rather they spend time on developing the game or improving the current servers.

Besides, you could get around such a thing by just getting a spy alt into your rivals alliance. Given the amount of effort some put into the metagaming around AT9, they wouldn't hesitate to try doing that in AT10.

It's not the metagaming that is most annoying about using sisi for alliance tournament practice. It's the fact that half of the time the server is down or so broken that you can't practice properly.
