Congrats on your inability to read and understand what the reward is about and for, and simply whining at the fact you got something for free.

Oh please do tell what this "reward" is really all about, and why I'm silly to reject it, let alone understand it :-) I can't wait.

BTW - are you one of the MT for SPers, pilots who are unable to handle lone AFK cloakers, fools who fall headfirst into traps and then whinge, etc? I ask because I'm getting the same vibe... yes, there's the unmistakable scent of lamer here.

I say "thank you CCP".

What's the problem with 1000 gifted AURUM? It does not "harm" you. Therefore there's no need for us to make a great fuss about it.

Please do not petition it (for removing), because this leads to wasted time at the gamemasters working queue where he/she could have done a more important ticket.

Simply save it ... maybe in future there's another AURUM gift, which adds to the spared one.

I rather had it as an redeemable item like all other CCP gifts. That way I could had the option not to redeem it.

This is not a gift. Its meant as an appetizer, so you start to lust for more. Rolling Eyes

Ok, as some one already said 1000 aurum is about equal to 110 mil isk. But the only thing you can buy with that is a pair of boots that look alot like one of the pairs available in the original character creator.

Seriously, even in the EVE universe there is no way a pair of boots is worth as much as a battleship. Maybe if they gave a atribute boost, but that would be game brecking having NEX items that actually affect the game.I understand having some items at a very high price just to keep them rare like the monocle and the field marshal coat for example, but there should be a few sets of common items where 1000 aurum could buy you an entire outfit at least. Even just a few changes to the shirts currently available. I like the look of the military style shirt but maybe change the rank bands on the shoulder, the higher rank the more the shirt costs. As it sits right now I will never cash in a PLEX for aurum because spending 200-300 mil isk worth of aurum for piece of vanity clothing just makes no sense.

CCP checked for active accounts few days before they gave the rewards, so if your account wasn't active whole last week, CCP could've missed your account.

However if your account was active last friday when reward was given, you can petition to get the reward.

edit: also remember that reward is given to character with most skillpoints on the account.

I realize I went at this the wrong way and needed a better analogy.

CCP, this is not how you get people hooked on drugs. You need to not only give us the needle, but enough to get high on... that 1000 aurum didn't even take the edge off. No buzz == no joy == no hook.

It would be really nice if you could transfer it.

It's not money. You can't get anything of value with it, thanks to their pricing. It's useless currency in a useless feature, complete fail. Its just a bait for us to get more AUR, which we won't.

They say they wanted to avoid affecting PLEX prices, well thanks to this cardinal idea the whole vanity store was dead on arrival. If they really would have wanted to avoid affecting PLEX prices, they would have made the vanity store RMT purchases separate from PLEX.. But noo.. someone thought they must have this feature to milk plexes from the system. Stupidity on so many levels, someone is going to make a thesis out of this some day in the future.

They are about 2 million lightyears from making the nex store desirable.
