I went on vacation a few days ago, no EVE, with BC 5 in the pipeline. What does this open up for me? COMMAND SHIPS! While both Minmatar CS are good, and I know how I would fit a Sleipnir, how would one go about fitting a claymore for as much gank as tank as you can get while still running 3 links? WOuld generally be used for either group lvl4's to make everyone happier and because it's a good way to pass time in a new ship, or for ratting in 0.0 while I just sorta, provide boosts to people there. I will give 5 million ISK to the person who provides the most applicable ship under the following constraint: The only thing that can be faction are the gyros. ANy other fittings would be appreciated as well.
TL;DR version, Make me a claymore fit with links, tank, and some gank, there is a reward. If this is a dumb idea, tell me so AND THEN TECH ME SOMETHING NEW. |

Eh... you're best of slapping one or two (two is pushing it) links on a sleipnir instead. Claymore can be used to give lolwat bonuses, such as:

But that has no tank, gank, or whatnot for PVE. If you do try to fit 3 links on PVE claymore, I suspect you're going to suffer fitting issues and anemic DPS. So while it can be done, if you're going to mix combat and boosting, sleip is a better choice. That said, pure boosting is still useful in some circumstances. Namely:
Home defense. (Don't bring an 8 link claymore on a roam)
Incursions.
WH space perma-booster (logged in 24/7, set to orbit tower at 1500m, everything running)
And uh... not much else.
Of course, I could be completely wrong, as I haven't trained up for command ships. |

I'm not really going for efficiency (although as much as possible would be nice), but more just being able to boost while doing what I would normally be doing in a cane for vagabond. For this reason, I will switch to 2 links, but I would still like to do as much dps with as much tank as possible after that. Not asking for a miracle, just the best you can do.

EDIT 2: Please do not repost from BC. I have looked at their fits, none of them were quite what I was looking for. Thus the ISK reward for ingenuity. |

This should serve you well if you use it for lvl4s
I broke your rule and put on a faction shield booster since you'll use about half as much cap with it (and about the same as if you used a T2 large booster).
Stats: 1200 burst hps, 475dps, low sig (for a shield tanked BC), and 3 links.
As a bonus it should easily hit annoying npc frigs with its 0.28 tracking speed.
If you happen to use it for small fleet PvP, with good rep timing it should tank well under neut pressure.
