Heya guys... I'm a 60mil SP pilot that have been playing EVE on and off.

I'm currently based in a 0.5 system with a lvl 4 Amarr mission agent. I also have a 25mil SP alt pilot that's trained fully in salvaging, mining and has lvl 4 skills in PI.

My routine is farming lvl 4 missions and salvaging with a Noctis alt. At the moment I'm earning probably around 15-20 million per hour.

I'm moving to 0.0. The question is whether I am able to make more isk in 0.0, or just stay in 0.5. If I move to 0.0, can somebody please tell me what's the best way for me to make money, considering the characters I have at the moment?

PI? Exploration? Mining? I'm no good with wormholes; virtually no experience in WH space.

You can do all those things in 0.0 that you do in highsec, except they're more lucrative and not as safe. Honestly what's the question?

Will you make more money? Sure, if you don't get ganked much. That largely depends on how situationally aware you are and what you're flying.

I guess what I'm really looking for in this thread are testimonials and hints/tips...

Anyone in the same situation that made a fortune when they moved in 0.0?

Anything I SHOULD be doing in 0.0 to earn isk? Like running Anormalies more often because of the rare faction/officer spawns?

I'm assuming I'll be travelling to SOV space a great deal, since some players have told me SOV space is even more safe than low-sec and hi-sec space.

Then you should have been more explicit.

I've made billions running missions in Curse. I fly a tengu for most of my carebearing. It helps to be unprobable (which currently means: really ****ing hard to probe down, instead)

Depends on the truesec of your space and your region. Since you haven't mentioned where you're going even in the most general fashion, I can't be bothered to make a laundry list of what's out there.

You assume? What the ... do you even know where you're going? Sov -can- be safer, with active intel channels, but judging by your (lack of) experience i'm going to just say "no." And if you happen to be moving to NPC 0.0. Please come to Curse, we need more pilots such as yourself. Very Happy

Sov space may be safer if your alliance holds the sov and you have the proper intel channel support and you pay attention to them.
Sounds like you'll be wandering around 0.0 like a lost tourist. I hear HED-GP in Catch is quite a nice place to visit at this time of year.

I hope you aren't planning on going to 0.0 space solo to make a bunch of isk. Let me share my short story about 0.0. I have played this game off and on about 5 years. More off than on but I'm back on just recently.

To make this story short, I've tried about ten times to get in to 0.0 space solo or with a friend of mine that usually plays the game at the same time as me. My total time spent in a ship in 0.0 is about 65 seconds. If you count the view from my pod it is about 3 minutes. I've never NOT been blown up in 0.0 of course I am solo or with one friend each time. Shocked

After returning just recently I found my toon docked in .1 space from my last podding about 8 months ago. I hopped in my ibis and you guessed it...got blown up at the first gate! Laughing

Finally my friend and I decided on a different approach. Once in low security space we find some people to chase us...make hiding spots in system and hop around trying to avoid getting killed. It has actually be quite fun and we have met some great people in the process.

In short, good luck making isk solo in 0.0 space. You will be lucky enough to get in unscathed, let alone make some isk. Of course there will be posts to follow saying 0.0 isn't the way I'm describing it...to that I say, go find out for yourself and good luck. Rolling Eyes

What to take away from this post:

1. This guy doesn't play eve, he trains skills.
2. This guy doesn't know how to use his star map or scout.
3. This guy doesn't know how to use bookmarks.

1. Exact opposite...I use to play and not worry about skills.
2. Actually I do know how to do both. I just pay attention to the number one rule in eve..."don't fly what you can't afford to lose". I live by that and just go out and have fun and usually end up getting blown up but I have fun doing it.
3. Actually I know about those too which really made the chase scenes fun.

I guess I don't quite get your point. Question

Before anyone heads to nulsec they should leave a jumpclone behind in hisec anyways.

If you find it too dangerous to earn a living in nulsec, you can always clonejump to hisec for a day to run missions, then clonejump back to nulsec. Nulsec entities tend not to bother with wardecs.

However, from all reports I've heard, it is easier to earn ISK in nulsec by doing missions, or ratting, or complexes.

Thanks for the replies, people.

Some people are telling me isk is easy in 0.0, some say it's hard. I guess I really have to jump into the pool and experience it myself...

I'm trying my hand in exploration. Hopefully that gives me something. And trying to get my head around.

I hate to give away secrets, but let me just say that I made a considerable amount of money running a reaction POS. It takes a considerable amount of initial starting capital, but it is a nice change: from the monotony of running missions day in and day out, to the monotony of keeping your POS fueled and checking prices everyday to make sure your reactions are still profitable.

I made about a billion ISK in a single month off of a single reaction POS, and it wasn't even an optimal setup, by far. Of course the reaction I had chosen would not have scaled very well as the reactants were VERY expensive (starts with a "tech" and ends with a "netium") and would make me a prime target for suicide ganking if I had used a freighter.

One of my biggest regrets was tearing down my low-sec reaction POSes to go join a 0.0 alliance. 0.0 turned out to be nothing but an ISK/time sink for me. Had I continued expanding my reaction POS operations, I probably would have a jump freighter and have expanded into Tech 2 invention/manufacturing to establish a vertical monopoly.
