Several months ago I created my own mining bot program. I was pulling in about 250 mil a day but was not satisfied. How could I raise the price of ICE? The price of ICE was low because of mining bots. I decided to start writing anti-botting threads on all the forums. I wanted CCP to change the mechanics of the game to put other bot programs out of action. I knew I could change my program to compensate for any changes CCP could make. After several months of campaigning against bots CCP finally started taking action against them. The only problem is they started banning players instead of changing the game mechanics. I soon got banned. Dont worry this is not my main char, its only an alt.

Good thing that bans for EULA violations are against the person, not the account.

Bye-di-byes.

Hey CCP I found a possible definite botter for you!

I'll give you one chance to guess who.

Account ban doesn't ban you from the forums?

This is the third time that you have posted a "I botted and I'm sorry" thread in the past few months. Something seems fishy about you....

I call a Dev-alt. Only explaination about your forum behaviour.

1. you are a troll
2. i will bite, just for my fun: you are NOT SORRY for botting, you are sorry your strategy didn't work out. So what?

In my past threads I just wanted to say how sorry I was for my behavior. This thread I just to show how devious the players think in this game.

I would rather write on this forum than play the game. Because of CCP the forum has more action than the game.

If he can still play on some account, ban wasnt properly implemented.

Bot creation gives permanent ban of all accounts on first offense.

take a cov ops ship out into Russian sov space. This is everywhere. Neither you nor CCP evidently can or will do anything about this, and it's quickly destroying not only the economy but sov warfare and the balance of power. It's obvious to me and hundreds of others who witness this every day, whether through encounters or active encouragement of botting by alliance leaders, that nothing will ever stop it. This is one of the main reasons I'm not resubbing. When one gets banned 3 replace it. Supers get built. Sov gets taken. Russians get more space. The economy gets flooded with cheap minerals. Ships get cheaper. Blobs get bigger. All they need to do now is take all the good t2 moons and the face of the game will continue to be permanently changed.

You're too dense to be devious. Your behavior if you bot isn't devious. It's dumb. I'd venture a guess for a botter a heavy trip is watching the yellow blinking light at the town's only intersection.

Der. You bot. You ain't playin'. I think you're really this dumb though. Rolling up ISK with a script is like having somebody go to a movie for you, then claiming you saw it. The cleverness in all this escapes me. How can I do this without really doing it?

I think he just misspoke.
He meant to say 'his friend' botted and 'his friend' will never do it again.

Bans against 'the person' are a joke on an anonymous internet. (Well, about as anonymous as you can get without getting law enforcement involved, strapping ISPs to a chair and busting out the car battery and clamps.)

Personally, I'm hoping the internet stays that way. I don't want my cherries burned.

Proof that most of what goes in these forums is motivated by some kind of gain, whether it's a change in mechanics to accomodate a botting endeavor, or a playing style, or a scam/heist.

To many the forums is just an extension of the Eve Map, to be played upon (and played) for gain.

Perhaps CEO Hilmar is correct in ignoring what players "say" over what they do?

And here is where the problem lies. You may have stopped but others are popping account after account to continue botting. Botting will continue until CCP actually starts changing the game mechs to reduce botting. But how can you blame them? They've only just begun to half ass the CQ thing.

There must be how many botters in China? 1 billion?

Haha, change the game mechanics. This immediately made me think of random ideas to cut down botting such as when mining you have to do a minigame! Match the symbols or follow a dotted line with your mouse.

Oh could you imagine haha.
