currently with eve's UI you have to click a window to make it active (such as the chatbox) and then you can use the mouse wheel to scroll it. if you want to zoom in/out in space you have to click somewhere in space to select it (de-selecting the chatbox)THEN scroll the wheel.

my question is: is it possible to make whatever window the curser happens to be over, active? so that going from scrolling the chatbox to zooming the camera only requires sliding the curser from one to the other.

Enlightenment got pretty good focus-follows-mouse-support.
