She had recently finished a course of alcohol rehabilitation in London and at the time was under strict instructions not to drink.

Yeah, because telling someone who is abusing drugs not to use drugs is really going to work >.>

The only thing that would shock me about her death is if it were from diabetes.

Now, who would have expected that!?

Also, welcome to the Club of 27 (though you will never, ever even come close to the eternal Janis Joplin).

Cant say im surprised... Conflicting thoughts come to mind. On one hand death of a junkie. On the other still pretty young to kick the proverbial bucket, and had some talent.

Suppose this make me a bit bit of a coarse apathetic *******.

Can't say this has mustered up a lot of :care: from me.

Then again, her musical talent was totally lost on me and i've mourned the death of junkies before (Mitch Hedberg RIP).

Meh, poor drug dealers getting the blame, a weak minded person can get addicted to anything, like TV for example or maybe its a Brits dream to sit in front of a TV for 8 hours a day, sure some addictions are more harmful than others but it is still an addiction.

Being hooked on games like EVE is no different than being hooked on LSD, only difference is one of them allows you to fly in RL Wink

I think people who blame the drug dealers are stupid, considering she was abusing alcohol in her last months Rolling Eyes, a person can get addicted to anything.

Nah, that's the USA's thing. It's their GAWD GIVEN RAAAIIIGHT to sit in front of a TV chugging weak watered down ice cold beers an' eatin' nachos covered in Americas finest synthetic cheeses. After that its time to chow down on deep fried candy bars wrapped in pizza (with an especially fine synthetic cheese straight out of the plastic factory). And to wash it all down, more watered down ice cold beer!

All while piled into their chairs watching crappy knock offs from British television.

Or so I heard.

Edit: Forgot the reason we're all here. RIP

Actually Amy Winehouse is.. er.. was a walking vindication of Darwin. You see she killed herself with drugs, this ties in perfectly with Darwin's theory of Natural Selection.

You could say the same for the 100 odd people that were slaughtered but human vs human combat should never really occur in an enlightened age.

I suggest you get professional help. Following your logic if the nutjob had killed 10 ppl instead of 90 it wouldn't be such a big loss, and if it'd be only one, that's no biggie at all. If you don't care about Amy Winehouse you at least could have the courtesy not to post in this thread. But expecting courtesy from a mentally sick person is probably too much to ask.

Just like her mother said in an interview... seeing her was like watching a car crash on slow motion.
Her song Rehab shows me how lonely and sad this girl really was.

May she finally find peace and love where ever she is now.

And yet she made much more out of her life in mere 27 years than most of the 'clean' ordinary boring people living 90 years will.

Honestly, I dont see any difference between Amy's destructive lifestyle and the millions of people who do generic sheep like things daily which gains them no benefits at all.

Personally I say this will turn out to be suicide, more so intentional than accidental
